I could watch these all day!
I’m Gumby, damnit!
The driver did so much right in this video that it’s a teachable moment. Dont stop, eliminate a threat that may shoot as you pass and don’t stop to evaluate your handiwork afterwards.
Now the question is...how long before the police track down this vehicular homicidal maniac and bring him to justice? ~sarc

I wonder how the call with the insurance agent went the next day (i.e., ‘deer in South Central’).
“That’ll buff out”
Love it - hit the high beams and the accelerator ... and the perp. To bad he (?) missed bouncing the perp off the tree.
This is a mini-action movie:
First, you learn to see the bad guys being bad. Then, you want to see someone “get them in the end”. Then we go to the end of the movie where they bad guy is trying to hurt/kill/rob, and the good guy gets them in the end.
That is why these videos are so satisfying. The “plot” like a mini version of a typical action movie. The only thing missing is the side love story.
That was excellent. It’s a shame that tree wasn’t a couple of feet closer, though.
My wife asked “Couldn’t the driver have swerved around him?”, and I said “NO! He would have gotten shot as he passed. The only safe thing is to stop the shooter.”
Didn’t hit him nearly hard enough
It is refreshing to see the driver realize he is in a 4000 pound weapon, and use it in self defense by running into the criminal, and tossing him harmlessly aside. I don’t know that I would have had the presence of mind. It is nice to see.
All of us driving are in a fantastic defensive weapon if it is called upon to use it in self defense. We just have to remember that.
Good going by the intended victim here. Good to see.
Look at the suddenness with which everything happens. There is no time to think. Just act. The driver keeps rolling and immediately swerves. If his first reaction was to stop, the criminal would have had ample time to shoot into the car if the driver began moving again.
By not slowing, the initiative was maintained by the driver, and the would-be carjacker had no time to think about shooting. By maintaining speed and just swerving into the assailant, the criminal had no time to think about shooting into the car, and instead was instantly thrown on the defensive and tried to flee. This kept the driver from being shot at.
Had the driver’s initial reaction been to come to a full stop, then started moving forward, he could easily have been shot by the criminal. By maintaining speed, that changed everything in the situational dynamic. The perp went from offense to defense and had no time to think about shooting.
I wonder if I would have kept rolling or if my instinct would have been to come to a stop. It is not natural to run somebody over in your car. I have to wonder if I would have come to a complete stop, losing the initiative. I just don’t know.
The crime victim did the right thing - kept moving and maintained initiative.
Love it! Watched it about 10 times. Just had to laugh.... Is that too harsh?
He quickly turned that guy’s life around!
Nicely done by the driver.
Nice to know that some people still know how to handle a threat.
Poor form on that half-gainer - 2 points.
I doubt that. The date stamp says October. Trees in Florida would still have their leaves.
