An elderly Missouri man is lucky to be alive after he was violently attacked when he stopped to help a stranded driver on I-35 in Clay County.

This is why I no longer do the Good Samaritan thing anymore.
Once again, the unfortunate adage, No Good Deed Goes Unpunished” rears its ugly head.
There is a reason these days that Hitching a Ride is a futile effort. It’s just too damned dangerous. A 72 YO man, living in a far more respectable world seeking to do a good deed runs into a Current Reality.
President Trump ran into this same reality. He thought that once he won the presidency he would be afforded a 100 day Honeymoon as was past custom. He thought the DOJ/FBI was composed primarily of honorable America loving Patriots. He thought the Generals and Admirals were mostly George Pattons with a few political animals in the mix.
He discovered he was quite wrong. That those days were LONG GONE. That the Swamp was far wider and deeper than he ever in his worst nightmare ever imagined.
President Trump discovered a Government Corrupt to the Core with a hateful Disdain for Antone and Everyone with the Quaint Concept od Love of God and Country.
He discovered in DC and in most American Politics Patriotism is not just Dead, but Disdained and Hated.
Rush warned him about this early in his term but, he refused to believe it. He just could not comprehend such a thing. Trump later found out how true Rush’s warning to him was. By that time it was too late.
If/When he runs in2024 he will be a well-educated man in terms of the current state of American Politics. If he wins, the Deep State will be facing a totally different man.
