The general questions parents need answered are: Should we apply CDC guidance, presumably intended for unvaccinated adults, to our unvaccinated children? Or do children belong in a different category? And what about very young children who cannot or will not wear masks? Can they participate in society, or must we keep them locked inside?
Here’s one specific question: If you see your extended family this summer, and all the adults are vaccinated but the kids are not, do the kids need to mask the whole time? And here’s another, very basic: Can an 18-month-old go to a playground, given that health authorities do not recommend wearing a mask at such a young age?...
On the topic of summer camps, the CDC has said that children and adults should wear masks at all times other than when eating, swimming, or sleeping, including during vigorous outdoor exercise, even when counselors have been vaccinated. This advice seems extreme given what we know about outdoor transmission (a rare occurrence, to say the least). Even Anthony Fauci, when asked about the camp guidance, called it “a bit strict.” He also chuckled. Chuckled.
If this is what it takes to keep kids safe, according to the CDC, does that mean parents shouldn’t bring their children to Whole Foods with possibly unvaccinated, unmasked people around?...
Throughout the pandemic, health authorities have noted that most kids are at low risk of serious illness. But they have argued nevertheless that all kids need to take precautions to protect adults. Not to put too fine a point on it, but we have burdened our children for the sake of our society, and particularly the oldest members of our society. The CDC does not have valid answers. They have lied to us since January 2020, and continue to do so.
If your information about Covid-19 “guidance” (literally understanding what you ought to be able to do) is restricted to the CDC, then you have never been the best informed you can be about Covid-19. You have herd mentality.
The irrationality of depending on official experts:
There is nothing rational or logical about assuming and respecting the authority of “official experts” from government.
That dependence has to assume that when someone is appointed as an “official expert” that magically endowed, by way of that appointed, as the absolute, unquestionable smartest persons ever possible in the room on their assigned subject matter; there CANNOT possibly be ANY other persons smarter than they are on that matter. And if you hear other opinions, you MUST dismiss them, just because they are not the “official” opinion.
That idea is total heads in the sand irrational and illogical.
Yes, we need those questions answered.
I certainly do. Seven of my kids are under 12.
I cant answer them myself. I dont have the time, the money, the experience, the resources, or the education to answer them myself. So I need them answered by honest and competent experts.
But, as we’ve learned over the past year, that rules out the CDC.
Remember this CDC expert advice:
“Masks do more harm than good” (before April 1 2020). “Masks do more good than harm” (after April 1 2020)
That says it all.

But once the CDC showed, as they did early on, that they were incompetents and liars, it did become irrational to assume or respect their authority.
Remember their words:

“Masks are needed” (after April 1 2020)

If you had had that many kids 50 years ago, you would not have had a CDC to answer your questions. You would not have been able to web search for answers either. Use your own brain and don’t rely on government to answer your questions. The CDC is like the DMV or the IRS. They don’t hire the best and the brightest. People who go to work for the government do so because the resistance encountered in daily employment is very low. In other words they are not hard workers. All the answers you will get will be developed by committees in meetings. Good luck.

I think the Atlantic is hard core CIA driven content, so I think the incoherence is psyop to compel parents to vaccinate their children so they don’t have to wind through what the Atlantic is posing as a hopeless maze of complexity.

Why? What pray tell always makes them the ever most possible best opinion, on anything, as if there were none equal or better in the world???? Just because they were handed their “official” roles?? Makes zero sense.
There should be zero government official experts. Government should be required to PUBLICLY call on, listen to, and look at MULTI{LE and DIFFERENT outside independent experts, NOT have its own assigned “official” experts. Then not only the government but the people, having publicly heard many good and different points of view, can make their own best judgements of things.
