I have read about that. In China, a driver evidently would have to pay more money to an injured pedestrian than he would to the family of a dead pedestrian.

They were coming after that driver. He knocked them down like bowling pins. I don’t know what came before that, but it has become common for people to surround and immobilize somebody’s car with a plan to break windows and break heads right after that. I am assuming this was the case here.

The driver pulled forward and could have driven off. He, or she, then reversed into the attackers, or threateners, and drove off on the original forward path. Another man ran up, he may have been in the original path.

I couldn’t see the driver. Maybe it was a black person and this was a personal dispute, rather than a racial attack.

Driver may face a problem. The video makes it appear the car was out of the zone of danger before it backed up into the zone again. I wouldn’t want to defend the driver.

I’m not at all sorry for what happened to the perps, but when the driver put the car into reverse and went back to hit them after she was safe from their threats the driver committed a crime. The driver will likely be prosecuted.

Its difficult to see the identity of the driver, but there was a figure in the back seat, which likely means 3 or more people in the car.

There is not, never has been, nor ever will be any cause or circumstance that should allow traffic to be blocked outside of rescuing a person from an actual accident.

No protest, no government motorcade, no issue, no person is more important than making sure the roads roll and the trains run on time.

I don't think that escape from a parking lot is a sure thing even if you are in a car. The attackers could have accomplices ahead of the car. The people with the knife, a deadly weapon, may be armed with guns.

Even in a state with a duty to retreat, I would not be able to determine whether retreat was reasonable from the video.
