Arizona Republican Chairwoman Dr. Kelli Ward has delivered a smackdown on the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors meeting that took place this week.
The meeting was held on Monday and Ward produced a video on Monday night to excoriate the Board of Supervisors.
“Chairman Jack Sellers said he and the rest of them are going to ignore legislative inquiries and subpoenas. In other words, they will all be willingly and willfully in contempt of the Arizona Senate’s authority… Who gives these local officials the right to challenge the Constitutional authority of the Arizona Senate and the Arizona courts which have from the very beginning upheld the right of the Arizona Senate to proceed with this audit as it sees fit,” she said.

Just an observation.....since when has Constitutional Authority ever been of the slightest concern in the eyes of Commies/DemocRATs/RINOs? I can’t think of any instance where that has been the case.
If “being in contempt” is a mere resolution or something, it’s worthless. But if it has teeth, a stonewall for anything Maricopa County want’s from the Senate. If the Republican members of the County Commission lose ALL party support, it might start to have an effect.
And as an aside, it would be helpful for Ducey to grow a backbone and help the Senate enforce things.

Does the Arizona Legislature have any enforcement arm, like State Troopers, that can be mustered to arrest all the miscreants?....................
You would think so, right? We have Texas Rangers for that sort of thing, here.

The database being deleted after the subpoena was issued is clearly destruction of evidence. Just have a judge issue a warrant and send the state bureau of investigation in to cart off every computer and electronic media the county has until you find the backups.
