Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and Dr. Anthony Fauci have no love lost for each other and they clash nearly every time they meet.
The Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, on which Sen. Paul sits, heard testimony from Dr. Fauci on Tuesday and it was fireworks again.

And Paul said they merged bat virus spike proteins with SARS and experimented with it infecting human respiratory cells. But that doesn’t fit Fauci’s legalistic version of “gain of function”. So he just sat there and lied.
