Vaccines & the False Divide: No, it is not just about being “Pro-Science” or “Anti-Vax.”

The decision to get a Covid vaccine is not “Republican” nor “Democrat.” And more importantly the divide is not along “Pro-Science” or “Anti-Vax.”

There are plenty of individuals who have no problem getting flu shots or wearing masks, but are holding off on getting a Covid shot. There are parents who may get the Covid shot for themselves, but don’t want it for their children. Those who have had Covid already, may want to be vaccinated, but with an adjusted dose of antibodies, etc...

Most patients, before getting a prescription or even an OTC med like Tylenol, are given proper warning against contraindications, pre-existing conditions to be mindful of before starting a regimen...Or on a positive note: the additional benefits of the drug that might go beyond its main intent... (Example: Aspirin can treat pain AND help prevent heart attacks.)

Knowing that even the most extreme of adverse reactions are possible even with common drugs, does not preclude the vast majority of people from still taking them— but at least they are informed! So that they can make a decision based in their own risk/benefit analysis. And not FORCED into a corner one way or the other.

By contrast with these Covid shots, the media and medical establishment act more concerned with denying ANY link to contraindications, than to properly inform the public of the full scope of possibilities as evidence emerges in real time. And by relegating even the slightest concern to “anti vax” conspiracy, they remove themselves from any form of accountability in the process. To treat you accordingly, to warn you, to prepare for more people with similar outcomes. And most importantly: to improve the vaccines themselves!

And that is a problem. Especially if you or a loved one find yourself in that 5-10% who have more than a sore arm to contend with following your shot. Or end up with a bad case of Covid itself anyway.

That’s the worst part of it all: this underlying presumption that vaccines are the end all, be all in our arsenal to defeat Covid. Where does that leave the breakthrough cases? Why limit the treatment options?

All antibodies wane. That’s the nature of B cell lymphocytes: they literally work themselves to death. 90% die after an infection is beaten. The other 10% live on as Memory B cells. If the same pathogen is encountered again in the future, they’ll quickly replicate themselves and begin producing antibodies again. This is literally how it works for every single infection ever.

The antibodies produced from an infection are always specific to the antigens from that infection. You think people who got COVID-19 infections are somehow more immune or have different antibodies? They’re not. In fact, most of them are less immune. Look at the P.1 (Brazil) variant. It hit cities in Brazil where 70% of the people had the April 2020 variant already (recovered from infection). But P.1 hit the same people again. It didn’t care that they’d been infected before. Testing indicates that while the vaccines have less efficacy against P.1, they’re still very effective against it.

And yes, the immunity is neutralizing immunity. The data from Israel shows that the Pfizer vaccine blocks 94% of asymptomatic infections and 97% of symptomatic infections.

Such as Herd immunity is no longer possible with the human immune system?

When you catch a disease, you are likely to catch it over and over again unless a vaccine is produced to save us all?

When a experimental treatment is called a vaccine, it IS a vaccine, even though it does not protect you from getting sick, or spreading the virus to others?

That a mask with pores 1,000 times larger than the virus will stop it from being breathed out or in?

That the virus is carried in the moisture of the breath, which clearly is proven when you are in cold weather and no “steam” from your breath comes from the mask?
