Liz Cheney's Response to Kevin McCarthy Shows Exactly Why the GOP Needs to Cut Her From Leadership
Red State ^ | 05/04/2021 | Nick Arama

Posted on 05/04/2021 7:29:41 PM PDT by SeekAndFind

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy went on “Fox and Friends” and acknowledged the issues that Republicans have had with Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY). Cheney has greatly disturbed a lot of the base with some of her past stances including being very anti-Trump and about where the Republican Party should be going in the future.

McCarthy made it very clear the concerns with Cheney weren’t about her impeachment vote but about whether or not Cheney, as the person in the third position in the Republican leadership, would be able to carry out the Republican message when she appeared to be so conflicted on what that meant. He said they needed unity going forward in order to beat the Democrats in 2022.

From Townhall:

“There’s no concern about how she voted on impeachment. That decision has been made,” McCarthy told “Fox & Friends” Tuesday morning. “I have heard from members concerned about her ability to carry out the job as Conference Chair, to carry out the message.” [….]

“We all need to be working as one, if we’re able to win the majority,” McCarthy added. “Remember, majorities are not given. They are earned. And that’s about the message about going forward, combating Joe Biden.”

As my colleague Bonchie reported earlier, McCarthy also said he’d “had it with her” on a hot mic with Steve Doocy. “I think she’s got real problems,” McCarthy allegedly said. “I’ve had it with her. You know, I’ve lost confidence…Well, someone just has to bring a motion, but I assume that will probably take place.”

But now, Cheney’s answer, through a spokesperson Jeremy Adler, says everything about why the GOP needs to usher her the gate from the leadership position.

“This is about whether the Republican Party is going to perpetuate lies about the 2020 election and attempt to whitewash what happened on Jan 6,” he said, according to Politico. “Liz will not do that. That is the issue.”

So basically now, she’s not just attacking President Donald Trump, she’s attacking all Republicans, calling them liars if they don’t agree with her positions. Tell me again how this person is still there in leadership? If you ever expect to win against the Democrats, you have to show that you can stand up for yourself and your positions against such attacks first.

Hilariously, Cheney even supposedly wasn’t ruling out a future run for president when I wonder if she could even get re-elected in Wyoming. The time of the Liz Cheney/Mitt Romney Never Trumpers in any kind of influence on the party is over. They need to be shown the door.

Most of the caucus agrees with her, but they know they have to keep lying to get our votes.

We have to stop electing people who have a career goal of abandoning the rule of law and giving the Democrats a permanent majority with amnesty for illegal aliens.

She’s really an ideal candidate for the GOP — she would lose in a landslide. They like that. It gives the Democrats a good mandate.

She’s somewhere out in far left field.

She needs to go. Sooner is better than later but hopefully the voters of Wyoming will finally take care of the problem next year.

We’re supposed to pretend she has great morals as she fist Bumps Ukraine Joe whose know-nothing Brother made a Billion dollars on Iraq Contracts (yes, with no experience in that field).

The Pious Act while targeting conservatives and getting into bed with the Swamp dollar queens... it’s rather obvious

Let me clue all you folks in on why the abject hatred of Donald Trump by this woman, the Bushes, and various other RINO’s who’ve been in Gov’t forever.
Donald Trump called them all out repeatedly during his run for president. Repeatedly calling them STUPID. Calling out their policy failures, from selling out the American Middle-Class to their never-ending foreign policy failures, and economically disastrous trade policies, etc..then, when he became the nominee and they came running to him for General Election advice he sent them packing and won handily rendering them all irrelevant.
The more he succeeded without them the more their hatred grew.
In many cases, it grew to the point they abandoned any pretense of their supposed “conservatism” and revealed themselves for the Gov’t Bureaucrats and Globalists they truly are.
That is when they decided that they must dispose of Trump no matter what. The 2020 Election was the culmination of their extreme hatred of the man we elected to represent We, the Patriotic, Constitution Loving Americans.
Those same people remain deathly afraid of Donald Trump and his MILLIONS of od Patriots who still to this day support him.

The caucus only cares about winning elections and getting into the majority so they can do nothing, which actually is a major upgrade over what Biden has designs on doing.

McCarthy stood up for her before because he believes the BS about the optics of canning a woman from leadership. He thought the impeachment matter was over and she’d be effective in making the argument against the Democrats.

Well, the only argument she’s making these days is why she hates Trump and why she thinks 90% of her party’s voters are insurrectionists - not exactly a formula for success. She’s literally a poison pill and can’t be run out of the House fast enough.

She will be tossed out and get a lucrative career as a talking head.

She is right where the establishment GOP is which is why they sat by and let an election be stolen and did nothing about it, and some of them openly cheered it.

She represents everything that is wrong with thr Republican Party today.

I wonder about her mental stability. She appears angry but about the wrong things. Her perception of reality seems skewed if she truly wants to take the party forward. This seems more about protection of the legacy of the Bush/Cheney administration than it does about the socialist threats of the Biden administration. And, of course, she wants to demolish the accomplishments of the Trump years, which make the Bush years pale by comparison. She is really one of the last vestiges of the past.

She should take her husband’s name and identify herself as Liz Perry instead of scamming off her daddy’s name.

“She should take her husband’s name and identify herself as Liz Perry instead of scamming off her daddy’s name.”

We have the same thing in Minnesota - Amy Klobuchar.

She’s been married to the same guy for well over 25 years. However, it’s always been to her benefit to use her maiden name - which happens to be that of her father Jim Klobuchar, a longtime respected columnist for the Minneapolis StarTribune newspaper. Amy Bessler just doesn’t sound as good as Amy Klobuchar.

Automatic name ID at the polls foe her. Same with Liz Cheney.

I hate to sound sexist. But Liz Cheney is a woman. She’s irrational. That’s all there is to it.

Liz Cheney: 'We have to show that the GOP is not the party of white supremacists'

You're doing a fine job of demonstrating that whites are not inherently superior people, Liz. You are among the best examples of that in quite a while, in fact.

If Liz was a real conservative, she would have taken her husband’s name when she married him.
