Where's the Accountability For California's $31 Billion Unemployment Scandal?

It may be the largest fraud case in U.S. history — perhaps world history as well, although the oil-for-food scandal engineered by Saddam Hussein in the 1990s would give the Golden State fleecing of the unemployment system a run for its money.

The stupendous size of the unemployment claims scandal in California is purely the result of incompetence. Individuals, criminal gangs, hackers, and state actors siphoned as much as $31 billion away from the California government. It was a free-for-all that even had criminals locked away in California prisons stealing billions of dollars right under the noses of the guards.

Perhaps the most extraordinary element in this scandal is the lack of outrage not only from government officials, but from the people, as well. California politicians do not appear to be paying a price for this massive boondoggle.

Reason: Approximately 10 percent of the paid claims have been fraudulent, with another 17 percent under suspicion. This will be “the largest fraud investigation in the history of America,” according to one expert interviewed by CALmatters. Part of the blame, it notes, is from “the state’s own failure to cross-check unemployment applications with prison rolls.”

Who are these incompetents who are running this agency? The EDD says it is “one of the largest state departments with employees at hundreds of service locations throughout the state.” It has great pretensions, noting on its website—the same one that continues to crash and can’t process legitimate jobless benefits—that it has “connected millions of job seekers and employers in an effort to build the economy of the Golden State.”

“Who are these incompetents who are running this agency?”

Having been in the Army and having worked both State and Federal GS jobs, I could tell you stories of ‘incompetence’ that would light your hair on fire. ;)

For that $31 billion, guess how many water desalinization plants could have been built, essentially ending California’s water problem? The typical plant costs $100 million, do the math.

Am sending this in responding to campaign solicitations
. It is time we reassert our; pardon my using what that one worlder’s call a cussword, sovereignity, and consider applying resciprocity. Give the the same treatment an American gets in Mexico The Demorat party ignores what any any citizen of America gets in Mexico .Illegal or legal enty by a Gringo ?No Mexican tax money goes into free legal assistance, paid motel rooms for sneaking in, or subsidized living as well as free medical assistance all not being paid at the expense of the average struggling working tax paying Mexicans .

.Our border with Mexico has always been contentious not only with smugglers but on ocassion with Mexican bandits and military using Mexican Claims ,Allowing potential hostiles to the US property ownership to happen in those states could lead to serious problems in the future. There are constant claims that crop up by Mexican politicians that some of our southwestern states are Mexican territory.
.What Yahoo and CNN and the alphabetical swill mills won’t report this; Here’s aMexican Senator who recently said Mexico should take back states;
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-mews/3754791/posts Mex House speaker http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3756257/posts

Worse yet Huge ammounts of taxpayers funds are being given to illegals through taxes which are being passed on to our children’s children along with jobs which should be going to black Americans property ownership by illegal (another word banned ) is used in states which Mexico has previously claimed espcially Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado and of course California .That could be used to support any reclaiming effort should regime changes in Mexico arise . Our border with Mexico has always been contentious not only with smugglers but on ocassion with Mexican bandits and military problems which General Black Jack Pershing put down.

What never gets mentioned is that 2nd class treatment Americans get in Mexico in all of this Our allowing the hordes illegally entering the US through the Mexican border and granting them rights American cannot recieve in Mexico even when legally migrating there. We have avoided recognizing and dealing with the 2nd class treatment that American citizens get which is in their constitition while legally residing in Mexico. That includes denial of voting privileges but employment, and land ownership in their name.

.It’s time we consider illegal entry by any person who is a non Mexican citizen illegally entering the United States through the US Mexican border a defacto Mexican citizen with limited Mexican constitutional rights subject to their laws while transiting. As well as any Mexican citizen entering illegally exempting those who do so legally and meet US citizenship requirements.

. If we applied that reciprocal policy . Would that continue ? By.prohibiting and strictly enforcing existing laws prohibiting any illegal entrant employment, voting, and land ownership privileges fully enforced these problems would drop loke a rock. .In other words Once we remove the incentives to Sneak into this country before expulsion no job no voting no landowning this stuff would stop.

Indian coders upgraded most states Unemployment Systems.

See Hindustan Computers Limited (HCL Technologies) and Deloitte (all development work done in India). They both fleeced the American taxpayer millions of dollars to develop broken, fraud-ridden systems.

The bill for the UI fraud should be sent to these companies.

Why weren’t competent American programmers hired to do the upgrades? There are 5 million of us, forced out of industry, willing to work.

Most of this fraud is government managers and executives siphoning off funds to cover shortfalls in other agencies. This is their chance to cover up some hideous accounting tricks by writing off fraud and embezzlement as the acts of common criminals. This is why the media doesn’t care. It’s because this is just another Democrat strategy.

Where is the accountability for the $560 million unemployment fraud in Washington state?

The defrauded Washington state agency was run by a woman appointed by our governor.

The woman literally refused to cooperate with a state investigation and refused to turn over documents.

Consequences? None, of course.

The woman and her husband are generous donors to the Democratic Party and the Political Left.

Less than a month after Biden took office, the woman was appointed to an executive position in the Department of Labor in Washington D.C.

Seems like the small GOP Congressional delegation from Washington state should be outraged?

Nope. They have not said one word that I have heard about.

She was also appointed to the agency because she is a money bundler. She funneled millions to Unslee, as well as to the DNC. She is a skimmer who would have been comfortable working for Al Capone.
