Trump was the most popular President in modern times and got more (legitimate) votes than any incumbent in the history of the earth. This is not in dispute. Everybody knows it was stolen, though some don't admit it.

Imho, Trump did not understand Politics in DC. He was the worlds worst Politician. Maybe he thought it was like being CEO of a huge company, where his decisions would have weight because the people had spoken.
It’s Monday morning quarterbacking now, but Trump failed to anticipate that Big Media and Big Tech would combine to shut off social media to conservatives.
In a more perfect world he would have built/funded platforms that were not controlled by the swamp before he ran for POTUS.
