for whatever reason, Trump made absolutely horrible cabinet picks throughout his presidency. The truth is, the president only has a modicum of control, at best, over such things.

Cool.. Apparently as long as Trump and fail are in the same sentence YouTube allows the video.

Need to pass this along as a work around for misinformation.

Trump made absolutely horrible cabinet picks...

Some of them turned out to be shockingly disloyal, e.g. Jeff Sessions as Attorney General and Mike Esper at Defense. At a minimum, they were easily intimidated by the Demrats and their media lackeys.

I was also shocked at how weak Senate Republicans were. Richard Burr, for instance, was the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee. He essentially allowed Trump to twist in the wind for 4 years. He did NOTHING to push back at the Russian Collusion hoax. He held no counter-hearings against Adam Schiff's ridiculous impeachment farce.

The only way to “Drain the Swamp” is to fire EVERYONE in D.C. , close the current Fed Gov, and start from scratch.

He needed to fire the top three floors of all the investigative agencies, the whole State Dept, and the entire WH staff.

You can’t drain the swamp when you hire the swamp.

Re: "Why Trump Failed to Drain the Swamp"

Trump was not up to the job.

He could have fired every appointed executive his first day in office. He did not.

He allowed the FBI, the Department of Justice, and the Intelligence Community to treat him like a circus clown for four years.

He did not throw a consequential counter punch against the Deep State for four years.

Frankly, he did not even try to throw a counter punch for four years.

Incomprehensible negligence.

Congress was originally to have their own means of employment back home.

True that. And Trump insulted people he need not have insulted. It pains me to say it, but The Donald bears some responsibility for how things turned out. How much responsibility, who knows for sure? I’d say maybe 30%.

And for those who believe Trump bears no responsibility, all I can say is that the buck stops at the Oval Office. It just does.

Trumps original campaign was largely focused on the swamp. At the time, many voters had no real idea of what that meant. Trump himself may not have realized how all encompassing the swamp was. He probably thought that he would have more support than he did from the people around him. He couldn’t appoint anyone he wanted. He had to pick from a pool of “qualified” people. Deceptive people recommended deceptive people to fill positions. Trump accomplished an amazing amount in spite of working within a pit of vipers.

The RINOs kind of had him over a barrel. We all knew they were corrupt. We just didn’t realize how corrupt.

He telegraphed his punches and they were more than ready for him. The next fighter would be wise to employ stealthier tactics.

Melania should have had the final say on any cabinet pics or ‘advisors’. She is street smart and knows how to read people. The Donald however is weak in this department. Everyone is such a great standup guy ... right up to the point where they knife you in the back.
