Russia Massing Troops on Ukraine Border; US Forces in Europe Raise Watch to Highest Level ‘Potential Imminent Crisis’

Russian forces massing on the border with Ukraine have prompted the U.S. European Command to raise its watch level to its highest point of “potential imminent crisis”, according to a New York Times report Tuesday night. On Wednesday, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley spoke to senior Russian Gen. Valery Gerasimov about the buildup, according to Russia.

Four Ukrainian soldiers were killed last week in an extended battle in the contested Donetsk Region against Russia-backed separatists. Russian forces that were thought to have gathered for training exercises near the border have stayed and grown in numbers, prompting concerns.

Under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama, Russia under Vladimir Putin took territory in the former Soviet republics of Georgia and Ukraine. When Donald Trump was president, Russia took no territory. Now with Joe Biden in the White House, Russia appears to be testing his mettle.

Agree with that. It’s our duty to make the situation ungovernable for them.

“The State Department will threaten them with diversity.”

Even Mos Eisley could outmaneuver that collection of marshmallow majors.

We can’t be ready. Have not had enough time to fit all those pregnant soldiers out in their new pregnant-ready flak jackets. Not to mention all those soldiers who were so offended by their penises that they had them cut off at taxpayer expense and are still sore.

Biden’s weakness and incompetence may trigger a war he cannot hide from. Trump told the world something it hadn’t heard for decades: America won’t be bullied nor will we stand by while our allies are bullied. And our enemies are worried about him coming back in 2024.

“Potential imminent crisis” just sounds so British. Is it an imminent crisis or just a potential crisis? Potential doesn’t sound serious enough, and it’s not really imminent, so let’s call it potentially imminent! And how is this “the highest watch level” if it’s only potential? How about “most likely imminent” or “almost certainly imminent”, or even just plain old “imminent”?

Is Ukraine a NATO ally?

On 8 June 2017, Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada passed a law making integration with NATO a foreign policy priority. ... On 12 June 2020, Ukraine joined NATO’s Enhanced opportunity partner interoperability program. According to an official, NATO statement the new status “does not prejudge any decisions on NATO membership.”

(wonder in vindman had something to do with this, lol)

“Testing his mettle”?

For crying out loud, they saw him fall up the stairs on AF1, 3 TIMES.

The man hides in his basement.

The Democrats voted for Grandma, and I hope we don’t get our asses kicked because of it.

We shipped $300 million in weapons to Ukraine recently and they are moving heavy weapons to the area near Russia. The Rada voted yesterday that it is at war with Russia & will seek to take back Crimea.

I can’t imagine why Russia would be moving troops inside Russia.

So, what we have here is a failure to recognize the survival of the fittest. As noted by others, no LBGQTABC or pregnant Russian or Chinese soldiers on their side.

We can live in our protective, snowflake bubble for only so long.

Let our new “progressive” military leaders tell those nasty Russians they aren’t allowed to do that.

Guess who will win?

Pooty is goin’ in. Biden’s weakness has caused this, And there is nothing to stop Pooty going across Poland right into Lithuania and Estonia. They want ports on the Baltic. And there is not one damn thing Biden can do to stop them.

What will Joe do, send in Kamala to wave her cackles around or perhaps a few military transgender policy experts?

Thanks to the assholes who voted for Sleepy Joe, our enemies will be taking advantage. We could have a situation with Ukraine and Taiwan, while we are still tied down with Iraq and Afghanistan. Oh for the days when we had a real leader (DJT) in the WH.

“I’ve seen 4-5 articles on this subject in the last 24 hours.”

These are the same headlines from a few years ago. The Russians were massing, there was no way they were doing this for show because it was too much, etc., etc. And then.....absolutely nothing happened and it just went away. Here’s a story from 2014.

No!!!! We aren’t ready. We need more time to get at least 5 battalions of LGBTQRSTLMONOP.

Also, it turns out that the battalions will be required to use tools that are capable of DEADLY HARM and somebody might get hurt. We must reformulize these tools to create safer conditions for both sides in the matter at contention.

Well the demos are about to get that war they've been salivating over. Let's send Hitlery to the front to command the troops. We could use another, "we came, we saw, he died, hahaha" soundbite.

As for the Russians, why wait for a Ukrainian arms buildup, compliments of Joe Cameltoe?

Idiots

Probably got it intermerged in the brain with "immanent." It's an all-encompassing crisis!
