The Railroading of Derek Chauvin, Day 1
The Houston Courant ^ | 3/30/2021 | M. Tremoglie

Posted on 03/30/2021 5:02:14 PM PDT by The Houston Courant

The persecution of Derek Chauvin continued on the first day of the trial of Derek Chauvin. The term trial is used loosely here. Railroading, Kangaroo Court, Stalinist Show Trial, or Lynching of Derek Chauvin are all actually more appropriate labels.

The media, liberal and conservative, already pronounced Officer Derek Chauvin guilty. Frankly, the media pronounced him guilty before he was arrested. For nearly the past year, America’s Fourth Estate has been acting as Judge, Jury, and Lord High Executioner. A great example is that of Fox News’ Gregg Jarrett. He wrote a column on March 29th that stated unqualifiedly Chauvin is guilty based simply on a segment of the video showing Chauvin restraining George Floyd.

Jarrett wrote an emotional plea, “Watching the recording was heart-wrenching and grotesque. It was so atrocious that I venture to say it would be impossible for any compassionate person not to be incensed and angry at Chauvin’s actions, as well as his corresponding indifference to a human life. Chauvin has a strange and defiant look on his face. It made you wonder whether there was hatred in his heart.”

This court needs to get its knee off Derek Chauvin’s throat!

He got himself into this mess and picked a bad place to do it. Will likely never get a fair trial.

Makes me wonder where Greg Jarrett went to Law School- and sort of answered my question of why he is on TV rather than practicing Law...

1. The Minneapolis Police Department trained its officers to use the neck restraint that led to George Floyd’s killing, according to court documents

2. Medical examiner: George Floyd had ‘fatal level of fentanyl’ in his system, but is ‘not saying this killed him’

3. If you keep removing non-lethal tactics from police officers, eventually all they have left are lethal tactics

That he did. And your second sentence is correct.

I wonder if Minneapolis will cease to exist, after the verdict?

George Floyd committed suicide by drug. Final Answer.

IF I had a business in MN I would be sure I had really, really good insurance and a very low deductible.

I would also avoid the city as I recommend everyone to avoid any major urban area once the verdict is reached.

He’s being raked over the coals but digging his knee into a restrained perp having trouble breathing wasn’t too smart. St George did choose to be a foolish criminal for his part.

I watched the video several times and it looked to me like the cop had his knee lightly on Floyd’s neck because several times Floyd was able to lift his head off the pavement. If Chauvin had his full weight on Floyd’s neck that shouldn’t have been possible.

Except for me. I live in a city of 1.2 million. Most of them probably don’t even know what Minneapolis is. 😁😅

And continuing to do it after Floyd became pulseless...was it a control decision? Don’t yield to the crowd, even when you’re wrong?

Does anyone know if the cops gave Floyd Narcam at the scene? Haven’t heard it before. Cross examination by the defense is alluding to this.

I feel bad for him. He was deemed guilty the second the condensed video came out even on FR. The cult of Floyd created useful idiots that helped overthrow the government with the well timed Wuflu. Anyone in a DNC sh*t hole zone better get out or be prepared. Guilty or not guilty will not make a difference when the cities will burn again.

I really surprised with Jarrett. He is usually logical.

The trial is being covered by Scott Johnson from Powerline Blog:

Sounds like a bad day for Chauvin.
