This can only be a theory at this point in time, I am just a private citizen and do not have the intel resources required to prove or disprove this theory. But it makes sense to me based on what I knew in 2019 and what I know today.
The theory is that powerful globalist interests, the sort of people who meet at Davos and Bilderberg (among other places), hatched this plot some time in 2019 to achieve two main objectives:
(a) to provide cover for actions that were really meant to fight what they see as a dangerous climate emergency;
(b) to get rid of anti-globalist politicans including but not limited to President Donald Trump.
I cannot call anything "proof" but rather "indications" that this may be the case.
First of all, it requires no proof to establish that globalists wanted to achieve the two objectives listed. They had already indicated that before 2019.
Second, among the elites are people with ties to both medicine and the government of China. Thus, it would be a known fact that a family of dangerous viruses existed and had been studied in labs. It is already well known if somewhat covered up by lack of reporting that China obtained prototypes of the COVID-19 virus from what was basically intellectual theft of work done at a lab in Winnipeg, Canada. The theft occurred through Chinese scientists working there (around 2016-17) illegally transporting material back to China, for which they were expelled by the Canadian government.
So that alone does not prove the theory, an alternate theory much discussed is that China is solely responsible and that the pandemic was either deliberate or initiated through negligent security at the lab. The natural bat-related theories of origin are meant to provide a distraction and a set of excuses.
However, China would perhaps have no particular reason to be fearful of a climate emergency. Their actions in that regard tend to support the idea that China does not fear a climate emergency and probably thinks of the theory as a western hype. However, as partners in the engineered pandemic, they would have lots of gain from the other objective, removal of their nemesis Trump, so that they could pursue their regional domination strategy unhindered as well as conducting trade in their own favor as before Trump appeared on the scene.
So my theory then obviously requires a secret agreement between the globalist forces (who might have been just a small number of conspirators who did not alert like-minded individuals to their plans) and Chairman Xi, to unleash the designed pandemic at the right time.
The design was to make the virus lethal to some co-morbidity groups, to create a foundation for concern or even panic. At the same time, since the objective was not to cause a huge global death toll, the virus was designed to act like a mild flu or the common cold among the healthier segments of the population.
Globalist conspirators would have known in advance that the aged, racial minorities and people in care homes would be disproportionately affected. These would all be factors that would drive the objectives in play, removing Donald Trump by causing doubt among his elderly core of support, and also by heightening racial tensions in America. Subsequent acts played into their hands in that regard.
I would not even rule out accelerants in play, such as agents tasked with spreading a virulent form of the virus to accelerate its spread in target groups. That could be researched by studying the identities of care workers, many of whom tend to be immigrants, in various countries. Any sign of certain workers being linked to high mortality outbreaks in different locations would be suspicious.
As another indicator, ask yourself this -- elites had already said they believed in a drastic response to a climate emergency. They indicated that it was their (and our) moral duty to act. It could reasonably be inferred that around 2019, globalist elites would have said to each other "the governments are not doing enough." So what should they have been doing (in their opinion, not in my opinion, let's be clear) ? ... they should have been reducing vehicle travel, air travel, and mass gatherings. If a restriction on worship was a side effect, that would have seemed good to atheist or Satanist elites.
So what should our response to that be? If true, what we have witnessed is essentially a coup engineered by powerful wealthy people, designed to make government policy what they wanted, not what the people had signalled they wanted through their own choices. And to ensure that there would be no deviation from this, the rigged election paradigm was worked out on a parallel track, and wheeled out at the last minute to save the program from termination through re-election of an opposed President.
Now we see in America a government that resembles the Canadian or most European governments, acting more enthusiastically towards implementation of the UN Agenda 21 and other socialist wet dreams, regardless of what the American people might actually want.
I would say this is treason, and should be treated as such. But if intel agencies, law enforcement, the judiciary, and large segments of the political and media establishments, are compromised, to act as co-conspirators, then we have no obvious sources to initiate an investigation or action against the coup plotters.
In other words, the coup succeeded. Keep an eye on what happens to me, that might give you further clues. If I stop posting here, it will mean one of two things -- I passed away (not terribly unlikely since I am almost 72) or I was arrested or otherwise silenced. I have told friends and family to alert the community if my passing seems to be suspicious or if I am actually detained.
Seems to me that our response to this has been surprisingly bland. We have witnessed what amounts to a communist/globalist coup, and a program that seems more obviously related to the climate emergency hoax than our health, with no reliable end dates or real oversight by the elected representatives of the people. That should be a trigger for counter-revolution. There are few cases of successful counter-revolution, unless you wanted to call the end of communism in eastern Europe examples of counter-revolution (the revolutions in those cases took place when the Red Army pushed the Nazis out of those countries in 1944-45 and installed puppet regimes). The Czechs tried to fight back in 1948 and again in 1968, both times they failed; the Hungarians met the same fate in 1956.
When will our counter-revolution come, and who will lead it? Donald Trump seems to be resigned to waiting two or four years for another election that will be at least as corrupt and rigged as the 2020 versions. That's not going to get the job done.

That’s a very sound first impression. My wife had the same idea, but without the Davos globalists being involved. And China doesn’t care what happed to its people with the spread of the virus. The virus does seem to set the stage for further totalitarian action — all in the name of public safety. What can’t the left get away with using the word “safe.” We have to teach kids how to have “safe” sex by having them stick a cucumber up their ass. Whew... aren’t parents relieved!
Anyway, to my thinking safety is leading to more crackdowns and limited freedoms. You have a population that will be controlled by big government, big business (they already know my tastes and what I look at online to tailor their commercials specifically to me) and academia (controlled speech that has to follow speech codes — think of fellow Canadian Jordan Peterson rise to popularity through not willing to follow compelled speech codes). We will be seen as sheep and a lot of people will prefer to give up their freedoms, in order to be taken care of by the government. Freedom is hard and dangerous, compliance is easy and rewarding... as the majority of Chinese population will attest to.
So I think the final scenario will be like what was seemingly prophesized by Tocqueville and Star Wars. There will be mass state control of people all equal in their differences (think of the bizarre variety of aliens in bar scene in Star War, which means equality wins out according to Tocqueville) and the few rebels will try to escape this crushing totalitarian Empire (Star Wars). Progressiveness has led to regression — we will go back to dictators and tyrants of old with blood lines for ruling. That’s my take on it. Incidentally, I like your writing style.
