In a society where the morality fails or is suppressed, a multitude of governmental laws abound to fill the void of order. Men of morality and conscience govern themselves from within according to eternal laws placed in the heart by God. On the other hand, unconscionable men must be held to account and maintain order by an external rule of laws drafted by the earthly minds in power.
Multitudes of ever increasing, ever changing civil laws are evidence of a moral breakdown in society. They are but a futile attempt to create an external conscience, the result at best being, an unjust set of rules that is far inferior to the inner God given conscience, and at worse, immorality forced upon all people under the threat of punishment..
An inner conscience follows an individual everywhere, it is a judge of every thought, word, and deed. There is a knowledge of no escaping the consequences of any action. A moral conscience within is a spiritual law enforcement officer, apprehending and arresting preconceived notions and thoughts before they become words or actions. On the other hand, external law judges after the fact; at best it is effective as a deterrent only in as much as apprehension seems likely and enforcement feared.
Notwithstanding, societies and cultures historically tend to reject rulership of and by the people, in favor of rulers. There are a number of reasons for this. For the ambitious would-be ruler with a God-complex, it is driven by lusts for wealth and power. For those who would submit themselves to such a one, it is a quests to find a god-figure to rule over them. This quest often comes out of insecurity or an unwillingness to take any personal responsibility for themselves, or for having to fulfill their personal obligations to humanity. It always ends with their bondage under those with the God-complex.
For the latter who seek to be ruled, by placing responsibility upon the god-state for the care of the poor, the needy, and other victims, individuals may feel absolved of their personal responsibility and guilt, and for their lack of actions, gifts, and charity. After all, if they support the agendas or vote for others who agree to take on their responsibilities and preform their obligations to humanity, they see themselves as being free of the duty.
The end result of appointing others to take away personal responsibilities has a number of negative effects. To begin with, it results in insufficient and inferior help to those who need it. Those who are appointed almost always are too far from the problems to handle them or care much about them other than by how they may benefit themselves by becoming involved. Even if they should try to solve all the problems of society, they find they consistently fail; they accept failure as a reality and become more and more detached.
As for those who choose to outsourced their conscience to others by surrendering it to the state, their hearts also become hardened. It is a human need of the soul to be able to both give and receive out of the goodness of the heart, especially when one sees the need. Love dies in a society where the state becomes the heart and soul of the people. Wherefore? Because the state operates pragmatically, outside of personal relationships and a local connections. A state welfare system of charity operates like a systematic machine, always calculating things according to personal interest, weighing in monetary gains and losses.
This is the essence of godless socialism: outsourcing a God given conscience to another in an attempt to absolve one’s self of all responsibility and guilt. It is often the rich and famous that love this. Having a politician to represent their conscience is much like having a housekeeper to clean and do their dirty laundry; you just pay them now and then; all done.
In time, such a society becomes cold, and not merely the government, but most of the public in large. Charity, compassion, and welfare are now the job of the state. The state doesn't really care other than how it affects the wealth and power of the state. The individual loses a personal attachment to all those around them for whom they should care. They are no longer their brother’s keeper.
And it is not only those who no longer feel they need to give that suffer. Those who become dependents of the state also suffer greatly in terms of self-worth. This also kills the conscience and leads to many other great evils.
Whereas at one time it was the churches, the community, and individuals with direct connections, who provided for those with needs, now outsourcing of conscience in the voting booth is becoming the norm. And the fabricated state conscience is a godless one.
Presently a great many corporate giants, along with many of the rich and famous proclaim they would be happy for the government to raise taxes on everyone else to help the unfortunate—in order to feel good about themselves—to do some virtue signaling. A number of these people are self-styled philanthropists who have charities accepting donations from others. Almost all of these wealthy people have direct control or influence over these charities, to funnel funds into social engineering programs directed at empowering socialism to promote their personal agendas. Their charity is really all about them.
Socialism is the disease of our age. Call it being ‘woke’ ‘progressive’, the ‘Great Reset’, or whatever you will. It is not merely coming, it is here now. Only the extent to which it prevails is left to be seen, but it is global. More and more we are seeing a global collective mindset being forced upon the individual as all his rights are being stripped away and every protection from abuse of power removed.
As the state becomes the conscience of society, those who hold a different moral code are oppressed and coerced to conform. This is evidenced by the persecution of Christians who are being brought before courts, fined and stripped of their livelihoods because they would rather face that than having to violate their conscience. Indeed, it is happening right now; for every day there is an attempt by authorities to force a collective conscience of the state upon those who do not willingly reject their own conscience to embrace the state. On the other hand, many have grown cold and have chosen the outsourcing of their souls to the state. As this takes place, both those in power above, and those beneath who join them become an animal of instinct, a BEAST: the body of Satan.
It is a great tragedy of our time; the individual soul is dying and a cold collective state soul is being embraced by many people. Jesus prophesied that in the last days iniquity would abound and the love of many would wax cold. Indeed, just as Jesus said, it has come to pass.
As the state machine replaces the conscience of society to become the ‘compassion' of the people, the state will become more of a machine than a human. Human beings, on the other hand will become like cheap disposable merchandise of mass production being judged by quality control as they come off the line; and later on in life as they become tired and old, they will be tossed into the garbage bin being no longer deemed useful to society. How much is it already the case?
