The main problem as I see it associating the people of Guatemala and their volcanoes with that judgment is that I’m guessing many, many Americans are far more wicked than they.
Rather, the passage I would associate with them is when people asked Jesus about those who Pilate had murdered and mixed their blood with their offerings. Christ response, which went of to include mention of a tower that had fallen, was to call the living to repentance.
>> Volcanoes are explicitly mentioned by the prophets as playing a role in the end of days, <<
Nope. No mention of volcanoes in the bible at all. But there is a part about “ “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. “
“Wherever I go, I hope there’s rum!”
So, it only happened last a few years ago, but now it’s somehow momentous?
As a young man, I climbed Pacaya and Agua volcanos in Guatemala and Chaparrastique in El Salvador. At that time Pacaya had two cones and you could climb to the top of the dormant cone and look over at the active cone which sounded like a jet engine at times. Active volcanos are best viewed at night when the hot lava creates its own light.
“The last time the phenomenon occurred was in 2018.”
I thought they were going to say 1818.
If it happened only 3 years ago, can you still call it a phenomenon?
Er, volcanos erupt every year. So I guess the prophecy is safe. But I won’t be donating any money.
Volcanoes are oddly enough at about a normal annual level of activity around the world, about 20 at the same time. But media reports about volcanoes make it appear that they are happening everywhere and all the time right now. YouTube is filled with videos of eruptions, for example.
Here is the Smithsonian Museum Global Volcanism Program website:

Truthfully, “End Times” levels of volcanism would be really hard to miss.
Do a YouTube search for “active volcanoes in (western State)”.
