Tucker Carlson makes a lot of money, so he can afford to live almost anywhere, but lately he’s been living rent-free inside the heads of liberal journalists like Megan Garber of The Atlantic. Some of us can remember when The Atlantic was not a partisan propaganda operation, and it’s sad to them in “skin suit” mode, as Iowahawk would say.
Ever since Carlson rode to the top of the heap at Fox News, he’s had a target on his back, and has manfully stood firm under the scrutiny. And by “scrutiny,” of course, I mean, relentless defamation. Last summer, one of Carlson’s top writers got exposed as a Thought Criminal, and yet the departure of Blake Neff seemed to have no effect on Carlson’s performance. He never flinched, so to speak, and it must be driving his enemies crazy (or crazier, actually, since they were pretty much bonkers to begin with) that nothing they do seems to faze him.
So I glanced at Memeorandum this afternoon and saw a link to Megan Garber’s article, “American Cynicism Has Reached a Breaking Point,” which is . . . something else. What triggered Garber was Carlson’s Tuesday monologue in which he mocked CNN’s Brian Stelter for claiming that the QAnon conspiracy theory is being spread by the “right wing” and “radicalizing Americans.” And let’s just make clear that there is no amount of mockery greater than Brian Stelter deserves. He can never be mocked too much or too often. For some reason, however, this Carlson monologue inspired Megan Garber to write a 3,000-word essay in which she mentions a lot of things that have nothing to do with Tucker Carlson, but never once does she mention the name “Brian Stelter.”

Because he’s very direct at exposing what they are doing.
99.9% of Americans have NO IDEA of what QAnon even is. But the Left Democrats love to ride that horse.
There’s an “IowaHawk” who is/was a FReeper. Last post here was in 2010. Not on the “Memorial Wall” page.
Same person.

Correct, when I started hearing about QAnon I started to find out what it was all about....I admit to not only being totally disinterested but couldn’t really find where and how QAnon supposedly spread information....
Same here. I think following QAnon is a lot like reading you horoscope - just a fun little activity for some but don't put any real value in it.
Someone 'gets it'...
I'm still a Tucker fan.
Liberal spread the information about QAnon ..
Yup. It's also why they despise President Trump. The Libs cannot handle anyone who speaks in a manner devoid of their buzzwords and their other affectations and obfuscations, about what they're up to.
bkmk
What we essentially have in America is conservative media - and the left ( which is most of the media )constantly trying to destroy them ; stop them from speaking ; censor them and perform character assassination
Do you ever wonder why I’m talk radio there is never ever been in the history since Rush Limbaugh made it a real profession there’s never been a single liberal who’s ever made it?
The only exception I can think of is Alan Colmes Wayback in the day
Talk radio is a unique environment where there’s no visual anything and so you actually have to fill the airways with your ideas you really can’t depend on guests and there’s no getting around that people are going to figure out what you’re thinking and you have to be entertaining
Rush H Limbaugh , the third - may he rest in peace - was the master of this art.
With his bumper music the parities all of the humerus bits the ragging on liberal stalwart politicians he created essentially what is the talk radio media
And now there’s hundreds and hundreds of posts many of whom are very very good in their own right but all credit needs to be given to Rush
So this is all you really need to know
And in this world the attempts to squelch the truth are going to be harder and harder to perform
Air America, Ed Schultz, and many others. It just doesn't work because people don't want to listen to liberal claptrap. If they do, they already have CNN and MSNBC and all the alphabet networks.
And now there’s hundreds and hundreds of posts many of whom are very very good in their own right but all credit needs to be given to Rush...
Without Rush, there is no Hannity, no Mark Levin, no Laura Ingraham, etc etc.
“What bothers Megan Garber is the haunting fear that most people aren’t really buying what she’s selling.”
But Tucker Carlson calmly makes sense.
He has many. He relentlessly attacks the Left who hate his guts.
I saw him speak in Alameda a few years ago, he was awesome. He is also not as partisan as it would seem. He uses conservative perspective to explain the insanity of the Left. Effectively, he shows how unhinged and failed they are, they says, a hardworking, honest person does not believe this crap.
People nod, and say yes, I like logic, not insanity. He reminds us of how America needs to be free, not a Government-owned enterprise.
Our Rush is gone. But others must pick up the mantle and carry it on. He showed us how.
