It appears that Texas already caved to the Green Energy Crowd. Not a good sign. But having said that rest assured I rooting for Texas to defend itself.
The country will divide along racial regional & ideological lines. I am fully in favor of black & white ethnostates. The left realizes that without white taxpayers the welfare state is doomed. That’s why if you want to drive leftists right up the flagpole bring up white nationalism.
There was an article posted about maybe a year ago where some military guy war gamed a breakup up the states and the conflicts - CWII. He had Texas conquering east and then going west, taking a good part of Commifornia.

Very good point. The country is being profitably exploited and riled by the elites so they will do what they can to preserve the (dysfunctional) status quo. The game is rigged in their favor so there’s no reason they would want to change it.

To be fair, Republicans have won a large number of the counties in the country in presidential elections for some time now. They are the majority in many counties of under 25K population or so, of which there are many.
But you are correct that we are growing further and further apart as a nation. A poll of this sort inching up in terms of the number of people who think the best option is a national divorce reflects that.

Run fair and constitutional elections in just 6 counties and Trump is well into his second term and DC would not look like the Green Zone in Baghdad.

I don’t know about sharply, but I would not be surprised for the numbers to go up 2-4% each time the poll is done.
