Today, a month after Joe Biden was declared to be our president, there are federal troops in Washington, DC. They were originally sent there to provide security during the sparsely attended Biden installation ceremony because those fearless defenders of freedom and eavesdroppers upon GOP presidential candidates named (at least) Trump, the FBI, claimed, without evidence, that there would be protesters in DC and around the nation, see The FBI Claims Armed Protesters Will ‘Storm’ State Capitols on Inauguration Day; Don’t Get Drawn Into This Nonsense.
There aren’t just a few federal troops in DC. More troops were sent to DC for the installation of Joe Biden as dunderhead-in-chief than were sent to Baghdad during The Surge. Over 21,000 troops were sent to DC for the event, and more than 6,200 of them remain. During The Surge, the climax of the part of the Iraq War where we were at least pretending to care about imposing our will upon the enemy, two brigades of the 82d Airborne, about 6,800 troops, were sent to Baghdad. Think about that for just a moment.
No one is exactly sure why they are there, and the FBI is not talking....

Their continued presence is rapidly becoming the unspoken of elephant in the room.
.
Can’t the governors call them back? Come on. Let the blue state governors treat their guard like excrement.
It is all proof that the participants in the coup are very afraid. Their fear is derived from guilt. They know what they did and so do we. That is why they are afraid.
“Panem comes from “Panem et circenses” which means “bread and entertainment”, this is a metaphor of political creation of public approval.”
I’ve written two columns on this.

“Humiliation and History.”
And I think they are VERY afraid, were totally rocked and terrified at a handful of Deplorables on Patriot Day (Jan. 6). They were embarrassed & made to look like simpering cowards. Everything since is to get back at us for exposing them.
FBI claims don’t necessarily compliment this thread imo.
Trump Offered to Deploy 10,000 National Guard Troops in DC Ahead of Jan. 6: Mark Meadows (2.9.21)
“They know what they did and so do we.”
Well put!
I heard a woman call-in on a radio talk show today.
She had lots of experience with demonstrations in DC (Pro-Life ones, I gathered) and said that normally there was always a great police presence during those demonstrations.
She was also at Trump’s rally/speech on January 6, and was a little afraid that she saw almost NO police. It disturbed her generally, but specifically because there had already been rumors that some leftist/radical groups were intending to cause trouble...
Guilty conscience. They know we know they stole the election and are afraid.

That is the one good thing in this whole mess.
There is no denying the existence of the conspiracy.
After that insane Time Magazine article there is no denying the insanity of the prog.
The election was "preserved and fortified" by a network of fraud, cheating and illegally ignoring the laws of their own States?
This is a short road to a very nasty state of affairs.

Whatever Katnip...
They feel the fear now, and soon they will feel the heat.
This is not over.
That’s what gives me pause: the troops were called up by Trump, not Biden.
The obvious reason for the plethora of troops is that they don’t trust all of them. The calculation is probably how much a hard core could be persuaded to act in a hard way? The size of that kernel is probably proportional to the number required to maintain control.
One could figure back from there, but the essential truth is that plans rarely survive contact with the enemy.
The fences and soldiers remain because the American Communists are going to continue doing things that will make Patriots want to storm the Capitol again. For instance, this kangaroo court currently in session.
