The FBI is now a frightening entity that will harass and frame any American. If the FBI did its job it would have been all over the truckloads of suspicious activity uncovered in the 2020 election. Instead the FBI harassed the whistleblowers.

We reported on the FBI gang’s effort to harass and defame the innocent (real) whistleblower who gave up much to go public and report on the truck load of ballots he moved from New York to Pennsylvania. These ballots were likely all for Joe Biden and illegal. But we will never know because the FBI did not investigate the crime, they harassed the whistleblower.

Where are all the consummate defenders of the FBI that infested Free Republic back in the 90s and early 2Ks? I listened to Col. Waldron’s testimony live. Seemed totally plausible. The FBI has been compromised. Now that China Joe is in and all his minions, look for governmental agencies to become increasingly Cheka-like.

The civil society that took control of the governance of this country in the 18th Century did so in the midst of a Western Civilization living in a consensus of Christianity and the Enlightenment, along with their classic liberal concepts of Truth and Reason. A majority of the country now has gone over to an illiberal ideology, even if it is only subliminal in most people. The rest of today’s western society is even further gone.
So, to answer your question, I’d say that it will not happen in some sort of visible counterrevolution. It will happen as it did in Eastern Europe, namely as small units like the family maintain a subterranean parallel society based on the reality of Truth (esp. as expressed in Christian teaching) and Reason. The illiberalism of the government we have now inherited will ultimately be its own downfall.
This infection is now simply glowering red; it has not yet formed the boil that it will. To reach the point where it can be lanced will not be quick. Totaliarianism reined in Eastern Europe for 70 years.
Everybody should read the book “Live Not by Lies” by Rod Dreher. Also dig up “Escape from Reason” and “The God Who is There” by Francis Schaeffer. Written in the ‘70s, they are prophetic, foreseeing the coming transition from existentialism, to nihilism, to postmodernism, to anti-reason (and totalitarianism, though not expressly stated) in the West.
