Do you think it was a mistake? I know you think it was a mistake to do it in general but I wonder about right now this moment given the economy on its knees.”
TESTER: “Well, look, I’ve been a supporter of the Keystone Pipeline. And there has been two caveats and they have been basic caveats, you do it to the safest standards and you respect private property rights. I think the Keystone Pipeline folks could have done a better job of getting the Fort Peck tribe on board and they need to continue working to do that but in the end, I think that’s — it’s a good project. I believe in climate change. But I also think that this one pipeline isn’t going to turn it around, isn’t going to turn our climate around and it’s not going to make it markedly worse situations. But so in the end, yeah, I supported the Keystone Pipeline.”
It’s a career ender if he doesn’t back track.
He’s up in 2024, if it were 2022 I’d understand why he’s upset because he’d lose the election if played right.
Probably no more than 3 Democrats going against Biden on this Keystone project. But I bet at least 3 or 4 Republicans support Biden.
Tester is stupid if he thinks that Biden himself is making these decisions. He is delusional if he thinks his opinion matters to the people who control the demented, corrupt Biden.
Stupid question and response. It seems to me if they are going to shut it down it is better to do it now before the company pours more money in it.

What is the Tribes problem with the pipeline? Ancient lands? Burial lands? Hate to sound crass, but were they offered any percentage of the proceeds? Or maybe Keystone profits could offer to finance a casino?
That aside, Biden's ignorance and obsession with climate change astounds me. So instead of a clean pipeline, he's okay with diesel trains and trucks spewing out carbon until he gets his solar (fail) and windmills which neither can provide the energy that runs our nation and our standard of living? The boy/man is a simpleton.

So, solar and windmills are going to produce enough electricity for the 10's of thousands of plug-ins they project? Do they have any idea how much petroleum by-products will be needed just to produce and build them? Yes, they are that stupid.
Don't want carbon? Build nuke plants. The technology is making them smaller all the time. Small local Thorium plants are almost here with no threat of meltdown, so I've read.
