As I understand it, the Chinese “Mandate from Heaven” thing is not a religious concept. It’s more of a philosophical concept. Perhaps it’s best understood as a right possessed by those who deserve that right.
The mandate of Heaven is historically fragile.
Not from heaven, but the ruler of this world. And then only for a “short time.”

Liberals admire the way China controls its people. They are envious and want to do the same here.
So far they are making good progress doing just that. After we succumb to one party rule (some would say we’re already there) the Democrats will be wielding the absolute power they crave.
As much as I hate to say it liberals have effectively consolidated power and are well on their way toward achieving their goals. They already control all of our major institutions and dominate nearly every facet of our lives.
Hoping for a turn around via the ballot box is naive and futile. The only option we have left is freeing ourselves from the chains of tyranny like our forefathers did. The sooner we start the process of resolutely defending our way of life in freedom loving enclaves the better because the abuse is only going to worsen over time.

I believe the Chinese “Mandate from Heaven” concept did have it roots in religious belief. If there was a destructive flood in China, that was evidence that heaven was unhappy with the current emperor. The emperor lost his Mandate from Heaven, and could be deposed.
But today the phrase can have a more generic meaning, and no longer must refer to heavenly activity. It’s more like “I’ve got this power, and I deserve to have this power.”

Its a Chinese thing—Emerors had such a contract with the Gods to rule. They are just slipping back to Imperialism—Chinese Imperialisms. Just as Russia has its “Third Rome” concept That when Christian Religion falls in Europe, they will come in and save Europe bringing Russian Orthodoxy to the people!
