Today, State Representative Kyle Biedermann’s legislation that would give the people of Texas a chance to vote on Texas becoming an independent, self-governing nation became official.
The “Let Texas Vote” act would give Texans an opportunity to head to the polls in November of 2021 and start the process of reasserting our status as an independent nation. If the people vote in favor, the bill provides for the establishment of a committee to begin working on a transitional plan which would address all of the issues related to decoupling from the federal government.
This bill is simply to put the question to the people of Texas. Even if legislators don’t personally support TEXIT, at a minimum they should support your right to publicly debate and vote on the issue. Your representatives either believe that you are smart and responsible enough to make this decision or they believe that they know what’s best for you regardless of what you think. There is no middle ground.
We need you to call your State Representative and let them know that you are a constituent and you expect them to sign on to HB 1359 as a co-author. Let them know that this will be a voting issue for you in the 2022 election.
If you don’t know your State Representative you can map your legislative district at this link.
Texas has 0 deficit and NY has reported 83 billion deficit.
So that is interesting to the discussion.
1/50th?
Awesome.
None I suspect.
Fed.gov has the printing press and the intaglio plates for the Federal Reserve notes we call money, so they can do it.
Move to Texas. I have a plce a waitin’ for me! Helotes!
I’ve read that, if a country dissolves, one thing that would be considered is the amount of spending that took place for the parts seceding.
How much of the federal spending fell on Texas? If none, Texas could be free and clear of all obligations.
So then they'll turn over all federal property in the state and reimburse the federal government for property that can't be moved?
The answer - of course - is none.
Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “Come out of her, My people, so that you will not share in her sins or contract any of her plagues. 5For her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
IMO, a wise move for Texans!
Zero.
What do you think it’d do to real estate prices?
I think they’d go way up. Be a way of keeping out the California ‘rats escaping that sinking ship from moving in and the feds from opening the border to the ongoing invasion.
Texas can hold their own militarily and can do a treat with the U.S. Could see a few other states wanting to go as well.
But doesn’t Texas have a special right to exit the Union based on the fact it was a Republic (independent nation) when it first joined?
(Let's get the humans out of the vote-counting business.)
I thought there was an agreement that allowed Texas an out on the condition if they joined?
Since FedGov just appropriated the land, Texas would just re-appropriate it.
Texas contributes more than it takes from feds. Because
of TX. gas taxes in all states is a source of income.
Texas refines most of our fuel
“What portion of our $30 trillion in debt would they take?”
And, how many of the nuclear weapons do they get? And what percentage of the navy and air force assets do they get?
I believe this is the annexation treaty.
“ARTICLE I.
The Republic of Texas, acting in conformity with the wishes of the people and every department of its government, cedes to the United States all its territories, to be held by them in full property and sovereignty”
I don’t think Texas can exit the Union of its own accord.
“ARTICLE II.
The citizens of Texas shall be incorporated into the Union of the United States, maintained and protected in the free enjoyment of their liberty and property”
Texans might have the right to be free from direct federal taxation.
Texas did not vote for Zero or Biden.
Zero.
^^ THAT ^^
Come and take it!
