It's easy to guess the states people are leaving. Can you guess the top states where people are headed?
The above numbers are on a percentage basis of inbound to outbound moves, not absolute numbers.
The report is from North American Moving Services.
People are fleeing California for Texas and Idaho
Illinois, New York, and New Jersey are the three states with the most outbound moves.
The top five inbound states in 2020 are Idaho, Arizona, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina, with Tennessee overtaking South Carolina from the 2019 results.
Florida, Texas, and Colorado round out the top eight states for inbound moves.
Despite pandemic, people continued to move at rates comparable to 2019
Phoenix
Houston
Dallas
Atlanta
Denver
New York
Anaheim, Calif.
San Diego
Chicago
Riverside, Calif.
I am disappointed the report did not have absolute numbers, making the study flawed.
Nonetheless, Idaho is interesting.
Idaho has made the top 10 each year since 2015, most of the time on the top of the list.
Congratulations to Idaho and of course Illinois in reverse, a state I have written about many times.
Q: Why does it take 3 weeks to leave Illinois?
A: Everyone is leaving and that is how long it took to schedule a one-way van out.
"Everyone is leaving. No one is coming," a U-Haul agent told us.
We love it here in Utah. The photo opportunism are endless. There are 7 national parks within 5 hours or so of where we live.
So you do not deny some states are being incrementally changed from red to blue by the *millions* of their OWN young people graduating from these leftist government run indoctrination centers every single year?
Would it be reasonable to suggest nearly every state, probably a million + are being released from public schools every year, and many of them start voting in the years following? Would this not explain these incremental changes?
Lets cut to the chase, comparing how many actual liberals move to your state from say CA, do ya think that would equal or surpass the numbers of little leftist graduating each and every year from your liberal public school indoctrination centers in your state? Think about that.
I'm not denying that .gov school indoctrinates kids, that is a given. The shift from AZ, Tx, ga, etc etc has been dramatic and swift, not thru fabian methods.
The entire point of the thread was about migration to other states. If ya want to talk about government schools then start a thread on it.
Let me get this straight.
You don't want to discuss what is driving some states to trend blue? Is it OK to allege people from CA moving to your state are the cause of this phenomena? We've heard this a zillion times. No?
You don't want to discuss the fact that hundreds of thousands of young liberals are being turned out by these public school indoctrination centers in your OWN states every year? Would this not have a big affect on some states trending blue??
How many times have you heard people blame CA migration for their states trending left? How many times have you heard them blame their own kids and their own public school leftist factories, which are churning out millions of leftist every single year in these states?
One last thing. I'll discuss what I think is pertinent to this subject, regardless of whether you like it or not.
Gezz, all ya have to do is look up how many little leftist are graduating from these indoctrination centers annually. And I guarantee you, that number is WAY bigger than number of leftist from CA moving into your state. In fact, it's probably double, triple or much more.
I agree; Trump won 40%+ of the NJ vote in both 2016 and 2020 - and THOSE are the people who have to leave. The gubmint worker caste and the welfarians are the others (the Dem base), and they either can’t leave (the former) or have no reason to leave (the latter).
You are very welcome to join us in Idaho! Like many states, there are quite a few distinct geographical regions. What are your interests?
You got a problem with NJ?
“What are your interests?”
Fishing is big, so is hiking. Shooting of course. I’m in IT Services so somewhere I could ply my trade would be great.
