Vernon Jones, a black former Democrat and supporter of President Trump, published an op-ed in which he explains why he switched to the Republican party.
Jones officially announced his party switch in early January, stating that the Democrat party had changed, not him.
“I am no longer a Democrat,” he said. “I cannot stand for the defunding of the police, higher taxes on working families, and job-killing socialist policies that will devastate Americans of all walks of life.”
Jones accused his former party of dragging Americans down through “a false narrative based on race-baiting, identity politics, and widespread propaganda fed to the masses.”

As if to drive the identity politics point home, Democrats have been actively transforming the narrative surrounding the riots at the Capitol earlier this month as some sort of white supremacy protest.
Former First Lady Hillary Clinton claimed the riots were the “result of white supremacist grievances” while House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested the protesters chose their “their whiteness” over Democracy.

With ex-Rep. Doug Collins to take out traitor Kemp for Governor, Vernon Jones needs to run against Satanist Warlock for the full 6-year Senate term in 2022.
I completely agree, Warnock’s only got two years. Vernon’s got some baggage, from his tenure in DeKalb County, but I think he can get past it. He certainly seems to have outgrown it. He’ll grow the black Republican support.

It’s my understanding that he’s been “walking the walk” for some time. Remember how Reagan used to say “I didn’t leave the democrat Party,the democrat Party left me” ? I think that that applies to Jones as well.

Anyway, much more unfortunate than Warlock, whom I hope will probably lose, is Lossoff with a full 6 years. The Senate is a disaster.
It was my understanding Collins would run against Kemp. STILL the President Trump will move heaven and earth to take out that corrupt Chinese puppet in next year’s primary. But he’s so massively unpopular that a ficus plant with an “R” after his name could win. Most of the statewide officeholders need to be cleared out. Kemp, the Lt Gov, Sec of State and probably the rest for sitting on their hands. Legislative leadership, too.
Impy makes an interesting point. Warlock got more attention as a black RAT in the deep South and part of the Religious Left movement, but Lossoff is in the position to do more long term damage right now. We need to swiftly purge all three offices (both Senate seats and the backstabbing “Republican” governor) or Georgia will become the next Virginia
