A slight majority of Republicans said they want to see a “fresh face” run for President in 2024, while one-third indicated they would like to see “a candidate who has already run in the past,” says a December 21-2 poll by Rasmussen Reports.
The question in the poll of 1,000 likely voters offered room for still-mourning Republicans to show support for a 2024 candidate younger than departing President Donald Trump, who would turn 78 during the 2024 race, and turn 82 in 2028.

Nobody knows what will happen in 2024, whether Trump ends up winning this year or not.
Any polls about 2024 today are of little consequence.
This is funny because if Trump runs 3rd party in 2024 Pence will be the GOP nom. He’ll happily be the Never Trump designated spoiler for his buddies Paul Ryan and Jeff Flake.

I no longer consider myself a “GOP voter”.
The questions are so vague it’s meaningless, too. Should Trump be the “model of the GOP” or should “an average Congressional Republican”? What does that even mean?

I agree. Trump needs to leave it all on the field for 2020. I fear he is pulling his punches with an eye toward 2024. It would not surprise me at all if he shows up to Biden’s inauguration. If the steal goes through he needs to drop truth bombs from the oval office and burn it all down because there will be no going home again for our country if that happens.
