President Trump on Wednesday vetoed the $740 billion defense bill.
The National Defense Authorization Act passed both houses of Congress with veto proof supermajorities.
This comes as no surprise because President Trump last week said he would veto the bill because it would not allow for removal of our military from other countries.

Hard to know how congress can dictate that.
So congress can now override the veto and its a done deal isn’t it....or am I missing a tactical move?
Remember the names of every single Congressperson who votes to override PDJT’s veto.
excellent.
“Hard to know how congress can dictate that.”
Agree....DJT is CiC...not Pelosi or the Turtle.
Good. The Rat/RINO uniparty of treason chooses to protect big tech tyranny, I wonder how many of these pukes are in Dork Zuckerturds back pocket.
Love our President!
just doesn't make sense.
President Trump has the cajones to protect our country, the congressmen and senators are nothing but empty suits..............
Those with republican reps who are voting for these bills should let those reps know that you are going to hate them from now until the end of time.
Congress authorizes and funds bases, among everything else. Being CIC isn’t carte blanche to do anything one likes with the military or foreign affairs.
Wonder why he didn’t pocket veto this.
I sure hope I won’t have to drive down to Mar-A-Lago to help defend POTUS Trump when the Joementia / Commiela Regime tries to arrest him for trumped up Crimes against the Deep State.
If it comes to that I will though.
Got it...
Thank you President Trump!
No “miracle” about it. It’s in the works. Tired of the whining and hand wringing. It’s getting old.
he should do something that doesn’t titillate pelosi, AOC, and chuckie quite so much.
> Wonder why he didn’t pocket veto this.
Timeline doesn’t work for a pocket veto. This was day 10 that he’s been sitting on it, so he had to veto it or let it pass. By vetoing it now, he at least pushes the override vote to next week (due to the holiday).
