So congress can now override the veto and its a done deal isn’t it....or am I missing a tactical move?
nope. you aren't missing anything. he's opening up an unnecessary front in an unnecessary fight that he is definitely going to lose -- and he's already got a raging election battle going on.

just doesn't make sense.

So, he should just go along to get along before the Illegitimate Joementia Regime takes power?

Got it...

I totally disagree. This is a brilliant move by President Trump because it will force the GOP to come out in direct opposition to home and reveal them as back stabbing, grifting traitors. No Republican member of the House, all who are up for re-election will want to vote against the President. Also in 2022 there are only 12 leftists senators up for re-election while there are 22 GOP senators. These 22 Senators will definitely not want to vote against Trump and they will work hard to convince others to vote no.

The time for compromise with the Uniparty stooges is over. Republicans need to deliver or they are gone. Your reasoning is why even when Republicans hold the House, Senate, and the Presidency they never roll back socialism or fix anything. Get a backbone.

“just doesn’t make sense.”

I disagree, it does make sense. If Trump signs off on the bill he would own it just as much as any of those that voted for it. His veto is necessary to keep from being associated with it.

Plus he’s acting like he’s still the President that still cares.

Trump is planning ahead to 2024. The MAGA makeover of the eGOP isn’t complete...yet.

I think he knows he is leaving but a veto overide will expose the Republican traitors for their voters to see. It leaves them exposed to their voters’ wrath. I think that is what he is doing.
