New York’s authoritarian Governor Andrew Cuomo is said to be on Biden’s handlers’ shortlist for attorney general. To get an idea of what this would mean for the cause of keeping American liberty alive, consider that Cuomo just signed a bill into law that makes the Confederate flag illegal.
The Rebel Flag symbolizes the South. That’s why it was featured on the cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd albums and on the car driven by the Dukes of Hazard.
Liberals associate Southern culture with resistance to their agenda; therefore, the Confederate flag is now regarded as a “hate symbol.” It’s a Culture War issue.
From the New York Post:
The new law — effective immediately — prohibits the sale of hate symbols on public grounds including state and local fairs, and also severely limits their display unless deemed relevant to serving an educational or historical purpose.
Cuomo explicitly named the Confederate flag as his first example of a hate symbol, denouncing it as “abhorrent.”
A hate symbol is in effect any symbol that leftists hate. Old Glory herself might become a hate symbol, or at the very least the Betsy Ross version.
A more brazen violation of the spirit of the First Amendment would be difficult to imagine.
Cuomo said the rule likely needs “certain technical changes” so the Empire State doesn’t get caught treading upon free speech protections codified in the Constitution’s First Amendment.
Actually, what it needs is to be thrown out — or rather, any politician who would support such a law needs to be thrown out.

Took me awhile to figure that out after i've been studying the Civil War. Make no mistake, the tax and spend liberals won that war, and challenging their authority has ever since been characterized as "racist" because it's easy to drive the herd with code words.

Cuomo will have to ban the flag of the United States, the venerable Stars and Stripes, aka Old Glory. Because slavery existed under that flag for a hell of a lot longer than it existed under the Confederacy. Besides, the Confederate battle flag (the most recognized Rebel flag, incorrectly referred to as the Stars and Bars), was not itself a national flag, or by itself the official flag of the Confederacy, which WAS the Stars and Bars (three horizontal bars, two of red and one of white), and a blue union with individual stars denoting the seceded states that had joined the Confederacy. Later, the battle flag was incorporated within another flag (mostly white), and it replaced the union of white stars on a blue background (thus, the symbol of the battled flag was at the upper left-hand corner of the new Confederate national flag). The Confederate flag that is most associated with the Confederacy was the Confederate Navy Jack flag.
Interesting how both Canada(Metis Rebellion) and Australia(A one hour EUREKA rebellion) had rebellions in their past yet those rebel flags and leaders are still honored in their countries to this day.
The Battle flag was honored for over 150 years till the revisionists decided it was a “hate” emblem.
It was also the first US flag to fly over Japanese fortress at Shuri Castle during the World War II battle of Okinawa.
