And remember Santelli started the TEA Party movement.
In a restaurant, unless you're dining alone, you remain in close contact with people, without a mask, for an extended period of time. During that time you're typically talking and laughing.
This is the exact scenario public health authorities say to avoid.
In a large retail store you don't have extended contact with any one individual, you can typically maintain social distancing and you can wear a mask.

Only religions ban heretics from speaking because of the wrong-think they might cause. Real science loves a good heretic. In fact, honestly, the entire goal of science is to be a heretic. My wife being an investment adviser watched CNBC all day. She couldn’t wait to tell me about this, and showed me the encounter. Santelli, as everyone should know kickstarted the Tea Party years back with this rant against early Obama policies relating to housing.
