The ball is completely in your court, Governor. – Yesterday’s legislative hearing in Georgia apparently had an impact, at least on RINO Governor Brian Kemp, it seems. In a Fox News interview last night, Kemp called for what should have happened two weeks ago, a full signature audit of mail-in and absentee ballots in the state.
From a story at DailyWire:
Georgia Republican Governor Brian Kemp called for a signature audit of the state’s election results on Thursday night during an interview on Fox News, saying that some of what allegedly came out today during a Georgia Senate Government Oversight Committee hearing was “concerning.”
“You know, I’ve called early on for a signature audit, obviously the secretary of state, per the laws and the Constitution would have to order that; he has not done that,” Kemp said. “I think it should be done. I think, especially with what we saw today, it raises more questions. There needs to be transparency on that. I would again call for that, and I think in the next 24 hours hopefully we’ll see a lot more from the hearings that the legislature had today and we’ll be able to look and see what the next steps are.”
[End]
Oh. So Kemp claims to be on board with a full signature audit, but still refuses to exercise his emergency powers to overrule obviously corrupt Secretary of State Brian Raffensperger, who has steadfastly refused to do the right thing for a full month now.
In case you missed it, the Georgia hearing included, among many other things, this stunning video in which a Fulton County Democrat election official clears all GOP observers from the counting room and then, along with 3 other Democrats who stay behind, pulls out rollerboard suitases filled with thousands of “ballots” and starts shoving them into the Dominion counting machines:
Kemp also joined a chorus of other Republicans – including Texas Senator Ted Cruz and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich – in condeming attorney L. Lin Wood for his remarks at a Wednesday pep rally (I can find other word to accurately describe the event) in which he told the audience to not vote for the Republican candidates in January’s runoff elections:
Kemp slammed attorney Lin Wood, an alleged Trump supporter who has an extensive history supporting Democrats, for encouraging people to not vote in the upcoming Senate runoff elections.
“It’s like Lin Wood saying today, urging the people not to go vote in this election — all that is gonna do is give the Democrats everything they want,” Kemp said. “It’s gonna give the radicals everything they want. This is literally the firewall. So, I think we all have to pull together and figure out what have we got to do to assure people that their vote’s gonna count. I believe that it will; that’s why I’m working so hard for David and Kelly, and I’m going to continue to do that.”
[End]
Given that those elections will determine majority control of the U.S. Senate for the next two years, I have to admit that Kemp is actually right for once.
To be fair to Wood, he sort of qualified his exhortations to sit out the election by stating that voters should do so if Kemp and Raffensperger don’t get rid of the Dominion Systems machines and software and clean the vote counting processes in the state up prior to the elections. Given everything we’ve learned about Dominion and its cohort, Smartmatic, over the past two weeks, Wood unarguably makes a strong point. If alternative technology can’t be acquired by then, Kemp should act to delay the runoff until the situation can be resolved.
As President Trump has correctly pointed out multiple times now, Kemp himself does have the power to declare an emergency and overrule Raffensperger’s ongoing efforts to obstruct a proper audit. He has had no problem at all exercising those powers in response to the China Virus for the past eight months, but remains reluctant to take that step in a situation in which his state has clearly experienced outright theft of the presidential election in his state.
Time to act, Governor. Stop deflecting and obfuscating and act, or go down in history as just another RINO who did nothing as our Republic slipped away.
That is all.
A reporter should ask him why ruby freeman was allowed to count votes in a private cubicle
She was dumb enough to film it
We’ve seen the evidence. If Kemp folds, it’s tar and feather time.
It’s time to throw the ole’ sh!t detector on Ruby and find out where these ballots came from... and I bet a lot more.
I watched him on Ingraham last night. (Just this one time I wanted to hear what he said). He looked and acted like a liar. He ignored the fact that the cheating affected the outcome of the Presidential election, instead he only discussed and referred to the runoff in January and how voter fraud could be avoided in the future. No matter what Laura asked, he reverted to the upcoming senatorial runoff, ignoring the real elephant in the room.
The Georgia Legislature can override the governor. I’m guessing thee Republicans hold enough majority that they can take control of their election? After watching their Senate committee hearing last night, I doubt they even have the guts to do that.
Kemp can't. The runoff date is set by law. The legislature would have to change it. Will they?
bkmk
We have a ton of rinos in the republican party here in georgia and they are in the leadership positions. It just sucks.
So what exactly is a signature audit supposed to accomplish?
He’s been compromised either by death threats or blackmail.
So what exactly is a signature audit supposed to accomplish?
Likely a couple hundred thousand questionable votes? While it is true you can’t match the envelops to the ballots, if there are hundreds of thousand questionable votes, it would throw the election in question.
Also, there was enough ballot stuffing without envelopes or signatures to swing the election. All they did last time was count paper. Now they have to ensure the number of signatures match the ballot count.
Kemp knows the hand of God aka Donald Trump is coming to his state so he’s in crawdad mode exposed and scuttling for shelter under the Lindsay Graham rope a rope of I’m one of you by the way go to my website and drop some $$$
BE A LEADER, PICK UP THE DAMN PHONE AND INSIST.
Kemp must know by now that given the tight margins in GA that his lack of spine insures his one term in office only.
“So what exactly is a signature audit supposed to accomplish?”
It’s supposed to make people think there was no fraud. The fraud mostly was “stuffing”, i.e., the tens of thousands of unaccounted-for ballots that mysteriously appeared here and there for days.
Not defending these assholes but if I were playing in the big leagues with the oligarchy I would be terrified they would harm my children and make it look like an accident.
Why hasn’t the G.B.I. arrested Ruby Freeman for violating Georgia state law or is it like our do nothing FBI?
Barr and Wray are correct in that they didn’t find any voter fraud, they just failed to say republican voter fraud. As soon as they find one they will charge him.
OR is Kemp just setting the stage for another farce recount?
How about bringing in some observers from other states and telling their SEIU thugs to go home?
