In June, doctors from California described eight patients who became sick from vaping in April. In July, Minnesota health officials sent out a warning to health care providers, after 11 suspected victims had recently been identified. And Kalininskiy says that the University of Rochester Medical Center has seen at least six probable cases this year...

I understood one or two of the ingredients commonly used in vaping actually helped disable COVID.
I recall doing cursory checks for vaping materials when that information came out, around January or February.
Well it was all teenagers who were afflicted even though plenty of adults vape so that should tell us something
Correct. It was about the oil used to vape weed.
Early on in this fiasco, there was a French (IIRC) study that suggested cigarette smokers were significantly less likely to become infected with COVID, but would suffer harsher symptoms if they did.
Of course it was tossed down the memory hole.
