President-elect Joe Biden made another cabinet selection on Monday, announcing that Jake Sullivan will serve as his National Security Adviser.
Sullivan worked for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and was an advisor for Biden during the Obama administration.
The selection signals a Biden administration willing to negotiate with China, as Sullivan has, in the past, suggested America should be involved in their rise.
During a lecture in 2017, Sullivan told students at Lowy Institute that “we need to strike a middle course – one that encourages China’s rise in a manner consistent with an open, fair, rules-based, regional order.”
He later added that the United States policy towards China “needs to be about our ties to the region that create an environment more conducive to a peaceful and positive-sum Chinese rise.”

Will you support Joe Biden as president?

National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan’s Pro-China Views Square Perfectly With His Boss
Soon to be National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan’s views that the United States should help facilitate the rise of China should square nicely with the President-elect’s own views.
Biden’s many decades as a politician have been filled with instances of him defending China.
He spent years bowing to Beijing. He led the effort to give China “most favored nation” trade status, killing millions of American jobs.
Touting his foreign policy credentials on the campaign trail in March, Biden recalled how he once told former President Barack Obama that “China is not our problem.”
“China is going to eat our lunch?” Biden scoffed at a rally shortly after he announced his candidacy. “Come on, man.”
#OnThisDay last year Joe Biden reminded us why he would be the worst choice to stand up to China & fight for American workers.

Biden more recently has failed repeatedly to hold China accountable for the coronavirus pandemic.
His newly-tapped Chief of Staff Ron Klain praised China’s authoritarian government for its response to the virus, heralding the fact that it “built hospitals in two or three days.”

Biden’s Team is Amounting to an All-Star Collection of Failures
Aside from Sullivan and Klain’s failures on China, Biden also appointed John Kerry as his special presidential envoy for climate.
“It’ll be an honor to work with our allies and partners, alongside rising young leaders in the climate movement, to tackle the climate crisis with the seriousness and urgency it deserves,” Kerry celebrated in a tweet.

We’ll just have to hope Kerry is more effective at dealing with climate change than he was in dealing with peace in the Middle East.
Which he said was impossible.
Even though President Trump negotiated three separate peace deals in the region.

And hopefully, he’ll be better at navigating the perils of climate change more so than he was in dealing with ISIS terrorists.

Biden also recently named Richard Stengel to his transition team for Global Media.
Stengel, a former MSNBC political analyst until he was named to Biden’s transition team, argued in an op-ed last year that the First Amendment needed redefining and that “hate speech” should be a crime.
Stengel also appeared in a video that went viral in 2018 after he claimed he is “not against” propaganda and joked that he once served as the State Department’s “chief propagandist.”

“Basically, every country creates their own narrative story and, you know, my old job at the State Department was what people used to joke as the ‘chief propagandist’ job,” he told a panel at the influential Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) thinktank.
“We haven’t talked about propaganda,” he continued. “I’m not against propaganda. Every country does it, and they have to do it to their own population, and I don’t necessarily think it’s that awful.”
Do you know who else thinks that? The Chinese Communist Party that soon-to-be National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan says should rise with the help of America.

My understanding is that you are borderline illiterate. That said, these are all my words, my work, my original material.
Good try though, now head back to your mother’s basement little guy.
Humble gunner has a note on his profile that says suspended. i dont know if he put that there as a joke or what..but this guy seems to have taken his place
I have no problem with China rising, but I have a big problem with Communist China rising.
Agreed.
Get ready folks a Biden cabinet is going to be a freak show of epic proportions
I’ve been checking on this Larry clown and what I found is just...sad. Not so much extreme anger as HG but more like a poor lost schmoe who, after a very sad life, can now indulge in CHILDISH power tripping.
That has been his profile page for as long as I can remember - at least 10 years.
My understanding is the excerpting is for news sites that require excerpting. I believe you are supposed to post the full text if you are posting your own work. Pinging the Admin Mod here so we can get clarification and stop bickering.
