I am beyond livid.

My teacher wife is watching kids get massively gatter this fall.

They are almost uniformly desperate to go to school.

Most come from families they need to flee in order to be physically safe.

It’s freaking mayhem without in person school.

As a side note, NY State spends $25K per student, per year. This is nearly 100% above the national average.

I suspect NY City student test results are FAR below the national average.

NY State is a case where the marginal utility of every extra dollar is actually negative - the more they spend, the worse it gets.

Good. There’s not enough bad that can happen to NY in my opinion. Just don’t let the vermin migrate to neighboring states.

“It’s freaking mayhem without in person school.”

It’s mayhem with in person school. The white kids can be taught how evil they are. The minorities can be taught how entitled they are. And incomprehensible common core math can be used as a diversion.

I’d say maybe they should reconsider voting Dem, but that ship has already sailed. So, screw ‘em.

Trump signed an executive order a few months ago stating that teachers are essential workers—there are two reasons why keeping public schools open is in the national interest: 1) the United States needs an educated military, and 2) parents need to be able to report to the front lines of factories and other industries that don’t involve work that can be done from home—when parents quit their jobs to stay home with their children who are doing 100% remote learning, that’s a hit to GDP.

” ... when parents quit their jobs to stay home with their children who are doing 100% remote learning, that’s a hit to GDP.”

So? Who gives a flying fig? You think after the communists take over that the GDP is going to matter? IF it’s even reported, the numbers will be doctored, just like the vote counts. They know the media will cover for them. Yeah, some businesses and countries might get pissy, so what? China fixes their currency, who has done anything about that?

Once the commies begin regulating, and printing money, and killing energy independence, the GDP won’t matter.

The mayor and Cuomo are going to continue doing whatever is necessary to generate federal funds into their state if Biden gets in. They’re using ‘Covid related’ stamps of approval on everything.

$25K per student, per year?

For that much you can send your kid to private schools here! Maybe even two!.............
