Republican Leaders FLIP OUT Over President Trump’s Massive Troop Reduction in Afghanistan

Posted on 11/18/2020 7:00:22 AM PST by MNDude

Republican leaders, many of whom are in the back pockets of defense contractors, are crying foul at President Trump’s proposal to bring most of the troops out of Afghanistan by the end of his first term in office.

A rapid withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan now would hurt our allies and delight the people who wish us harm,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said.

Other RINO Republicans whined about Trump’s proposal as well.

“The concern would be it would turn into a Saigon-type of situation where it would fall very quickly and then our ability to conduct operations against terrorist elements in the region could be compromised,” said Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), who chairs the Senate Intelligence Committee. “That’s my primary concern right now.”

USA is on the brink of losing any possibility of free elections for ever and falling into a lockdown, BLM, socialist dystopia. Yet this is what concerns them.

We have enough problems at home without fighting a losing war in Afghanistan. Russia gave up too.

PS where is the CIA going to get its heroin from now? .. seriously we were only there for the poppy's..

I’ve said for a couple of years that I think this will be our last presidential election. If Biden wins, you can take it to the bank.

The next election will be decided at the barrel of guns. Lots of guns.

It would be easy to napalm the poppy fields, we don't because we allow it, the government there takes a cut.

It’s been almost 20 years. There’s no “quickly” to anything we have done in Afghanistan. The public is with Trump on this one. They see no reason why we should have thousands of troops in that pile of rocks.

Maybe they’ll cheat less next time.

“seriously we were only there for the poppy’s..”

Not totally true. There are rare Earth minerals in vast quantities. More troops=more equipment and supplies=larger military contracts.

We can get South/Central American smack too.

McConnell just won re-election. I sure don’t recall him campaigning on extending the Afghanistan was another decade or two.

Simple truth is, if we there the Muslims kill our young soldiers. If we aren’t there, Muslims kill each other. Not a difficult choice IMO.

Even this was an “election” . Fix was in, strong MAGA turnout made the fix obvious. I now refuse to call America a democracy or republic at the federal level. More like an oligarchy.

I believe the Taliban burned the fields 20+ years ago.
Our government is complacent in the revitalization of the fields.
