Campus Reform recently asked students to react to a Joe Biden quote from 2014 where he claimed "there's nothing special about being American."
Most students disagreed with Biden and added that presidential candidates should show national pride.

After all, it could be argued that we are not that special in that in this past year many Americans have shown they value freedom about as much as the Chinese do.
If Joe doesn’t think there is anything special about being American, and special about America, why would he go to the trouble of running for president, of a not so special country????
That’s why, Scott, Biden is not only too senile and unfit to lead America, he is unworthy.

You gotta be kidding me, Biden said that? So the other day he said “America is dead” and now he says “there’s nothing special about being American” and people want this demented mofo as POTUS????
Being conditioned about today’s youth, I was reading this as the students saying there was nothing special about being an American. This kind of renews my hope about this countries future.

If there is nothing special about it, tens of millions wouldn’t be coming here.
Especially if the poor and minorities are so poorly received, treated by Americans and law enforcers, etc.
I for one know that things would not go well for me if I were to move to Mexico. I would be prohibited from owning land, I would not be permitted to vote or protest, and the police would not be so quick to cut me loose with a stern warning. Also the locals might use pejoratives they think I would not recognize or understand and some might even try to kidnap me for ransom.
But all countries are the same, right?
If I am reading the headline correctly, it says
“Biden says that there is nothing special about being an American. Many young voters disagree with him on that topic.”
I think this is what’s being said. It would be nice if so.
