Someone I know who is a member of the police auxiliary has been told to "stand by" / vote ASAP / not plan on going out of town for the next week / alert his regular employer that he may not be available because there is a high degree of probability that he will called upon to assist the regular police with expected unrest next week.
What are you hearing from the people you know who are regular, aux, or retired police and or military?

I don’t think it’s necessary. There are a few idiots in Houston and Dallas. Maybe Austin. But Texas will be decidedly for Trump. And nobody will be unhappy about that.

The Nat Guard has been activated in TX to support law enforcement in our 4 largest cities in anticipation of post election celebrations.
I just retired and am starting to look for gig-work doing security. I notice the pricier buildings in Manhattan are looking for armed security guards for Tuesday and Wednesday. They’re expecting shenanigans at the very least.
