Accusations fly back and forth between the political parties, each claiming the other is politicizing the United States Supreme Court.

However, a brief look at the history of the Supreme Court establishes this is neither new nor novel, and Presidential Nominee Joe Biden’s plan for Supreme Court reforms demonstrates he’s pulled a page right out of history on how to do it. So, here is his playbook.

A silly article that doesn’t mention Bork, Thomas or Kavanagh.

The history is pretty correct, until the modern era after FDR.

The author writes this:

Nevertheless, the threat FDR’s proposed legislation was enough to create fear among the Justices resulting in one changing his positions, shifting the Court to FDR’s favor. Since then, the majority of the Court has shifted like a pendulum from left to right.

No. There was no shift back toward originalists and textualists until Reagan. Then a gradual shift in appointments increased originalists on the court, while pressure by the Mediacracy on them to move toward the FDR Progressive position (left) gradually moved former judges, thought to be originalists, into leftist positions.

Good examples are O'Conner, Kennedy, and Roberts, as the most recent.

The current Court is the first actual originalist majority Court in 70 years.

Welcome to FreeRepublic “Steve”. We generally frown on people who post teasing articles, which attempt to create blog clicks. It’s considered more problematic in it appears that you have joined yesterday. These types of posts are called “Click bait” and are posted to pimp your blog. Never fear, it will likely be dealt with by the powers that be, appropriately.

We’ll give this blogpimp the benefit of the doubt, given that he had the good sense to post his clickbait in the “Bloggers” area.

And being a Totally Wet Behind The Ears Noob, he can’t necessarily be expected to know the protocol details.

However, if he doesn’t provide at least a reply comment or two, to let us know he’s not just a mindless Blog Bot, there may be serious repercussions.

Ya got that, NHSteve? So, say something.

This article skims over the first Democrat president stacking the court that led to the Dredd Scott decision and the civil war. The Taney court...

It just says....

“Subsequently, American expansion Westward created additional Circuit Courts, increasing the number of Justices to nine. Then in 1857, the Supreme Court issued its Dredd Scott decision...”

In 1837 the Supreme Court was expanded to nine justices, which allowed President Andrew Jackson, a Democrat, the chance to appoint two justices.
