A Libt...I mean, Leftist, recently suggested that California should bestow largesse on impoverished Mississippi. As PF Whalen writes in this article, "California had a reported government debt of over $1.5 trillion as of 2017..." ----------------------------------
California is a mess; no secret there. But the degree of decline that befalls it, and the quickness with which that decline is moving, seems to be largely ignored; particularly by Californians themselves. The nations most populous state, and arguably its most naturally beautiful, is falling apart virtually everywhere we look. Yet state and local governments not only insist on moving forward with leftist policies, they continually double-down by moving even further left, and the states voters return them to office with ever-increasing electoral margins. Californias current approach to virtually all aspects of society the economy, environment, legal system and culture is unsustainable, and the time for reckoning is rapidly approaching.

The Democrats in California will keep on doing criminal and stupid stuff as long as businesses accept Californias checks.
CA has run out of “Other people’s money”
They can’t yet go after Prop 13 without a major voter revolt.
“Green Energy taxes” and “Net Neutrality penalties” have been blocked by Trump.
The rich have told Sacramento either control your spending or we are leaving.
Why would anyone live in Commie-Land California?
Not just the rich. Middle class workers are fleeing in droves.
Prop 13 was great for 70 and 80 and 90 year olds who bought their homes many decades ago when taxes were cheap and reasonable.
But they're all dying off, replaced by suckers paying many times what their parents paid in taxes. Soon all those old folks will be gone and most buyers will be paying sky high property taxes.
It's a win win for the state, and mostly a lose lose for everyone else nowadays.
Freerepublic.com is still based there last time I checked.
I can’t help it :<)))))))))

And so is Shark24. It can be tough though.....
Cali Democrats are betting that at some point now or later there will be a democrat president, and the Congress will pass the federal bailout they are counting on. If they are betting wrong, it wont be pretty.
Oh, the irony!!!
“Why would anyone live in Commie-Land California?”
Why cede land to the enemy? Especially, arguably, the best ground in the nation.
Not to mention the political aspect, can you imagine having CA’s electoral votes? Shouldn’t conservatives be flocking to CA to help turn it like the dems are CO and TX?
As I learned on the Peoples Pundit the other day when Baris and Barnes were talking g about the demographics, conservatives have been leaving California in droves the last 5 or so years.
I lived in San Diego for 3 years in the mid 90s.....yes I voted for Prop 187....when Republican Pete Wilson was Governor and it was clear to me even then how left leaning, over regulated, highly taxed and expensive it was. Its gotten much worse since then. The oppressive gun laws alone are something I would find impossible to live under.
All I can say is THERE MUST BE NO FEDERAL BAILOUT.
EVER.
Not just the rich. Middle class workers are fleeing in droves.

California officials don’t care. They look at the exodus as just making room for more illegals.
California is close to being Americas first Cloward-Piven end State
The rich have told Sacramento either control your spending or we are leaving.
Sold my farm and leaving for a red state not to be mentioned.
We had a discussion in another thread about Conservative Jews in New York and New Jersey. Just like Conservatives in California they exist but they are overwhelmed by the Liberals. Sad situation.
I’d say it is a 40-60 split.
Yep.
I practice SoCal Distancing. I never get within 500 miles of it.
