Police in Philadelphia shot and killed a man on Monday, triggering protests that saw at least 30 officers injured, officials said.
Police said they shot Walter Wallace Jr., 27, after responding to a call about a man armed with a knife.
The responding officers ordered Wallace “several times” to drop the knife and he continued to “advance towards” them, according to a statement. They then fired their weapons, shooting him in the chest and shoulder, and he was pronounced dead at the hospital just after 4 p.m., the statement added.
Both officers were taken off street duty pending an investigation, the Inquirer said. Their names weren’t released.
Protesters gathered outside a Philadelphia police precinct Monday night hours after police shot and killed a man waving a knife in the afternoon, CBS Philly reports. The victim was identified as 27-year old Walter Wallace Jr.
Tensions rose as the night wore on.
Early Tuesday, a pickup truck driving at a relatively fast clip hit an officer. Video shows a man standing through the roof of the truck’s cab. A bystander can be heard saying, “Oh my god. He hit a cop.”

Philadelphia Police Sergeant Eric Gripp said the officer, a 56-year-old female, was hospitalized in stable condition with a broken leg and other injuries. The pickup was found nearby, unoccupied, he added.
Vandals smashed windows and a glass door and spray-painted walls at a police substation.
According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, there was vandalism and looting in a commercial corridor where police and demonstrators clashed earlier this summer. Video below:

Seeing these videos makes think of how much the black churches have failed their community. They’re too busy spewing their hatred than preaching the gospel. They’re also obviously not familiar with the Ten Commandments. They don’t appear to be aware of the “Thou shalt not steal” commandment. That’s exactly what they’re doing when they’re looting (STEALING). So many black leaders are leading these people through the wide gate. Their fate will be so much worse than anything they ever experienced in this lifetime if they don’t change their ways. These people need our prayers.
Then piss on them.
Two points.
First when people start targeting only the government rather than their fellow citizens they are in revolt, in the proper sense. If they were only in revolt and not targeting their fellow private citizens that would be a situation very different than now.
Mostly these Left wing scum have not been in revolt, but have been in a few places implicitly backed by their Democrat led local governments as they terrorize ordinary citizens.
They are the Brown Shirts of our times. BLM and AntiFa serve their Revolution, are protected by officials that serve that same communistic effort.
I will also here opine that these Left wing trash are incapable of not targeting their fellow citizens: we who are not them are their enemies, we are meant for their gulags should they ever really gain power, we are those they will steal from and kill in the meantime ... they exist to set our world on fire in hopes that theirs will rise from the ashes.
That brings up the second point.
The locals shouldn’t wait to be rescued. Ordinary citizens need to start shooting rioters and looters dead during the riots, while they (the rioters and looters) are factually committing their crimes.
Dead rioters and looters possibly will discourage other rioters and looters, especially if it is regular citizens and not cops putting them down. But even if it does not when those later rioters and looters die during their rampages their deaths are still on their own hands, screw them.
We can wait a week or so for the National Guard. We don’t want to stop the free expression of speech and nightly campaign ads.
More law and order votes coming our way. Energized voters will pay the scum back.

I would have loved it had the article opened with “Police defended themselves against a violent offender who was charging at them with a deadly weapon. No police were harmed but the man (Black male in his 20’s)ran directly into the path of fire and was killed.”
Why is several times in quotes?
It is a shame. So many of their pastors are cashing in while leading them down a path of destruction.
