This on Facebook gives DT’s opening shot to a most exceptional speech from any world leader as he points heaven-ward saying,

“But you know something else? We still need help from the Boss! We need help from the Boss – that’s what I think – we need help….They’ll criticise me for saying it: ‘How dare he say that!’ Nah, I’ll say it…I’ll say it! Someone said to me the other day ‘You’re the most famous person in the world by far’. I said ‘No I’m not, no I’m not!’ and they said, ‘Who’s more famous?’ I said, ‘Jesus Christ!’ (…applause…) I’m not taking any chances…Hey, I’m NOT having any argument – Jesus Christ…I guarantee…”

I clicked on the link and one of the headlines (under Trump’s picture) said “Trump Says Only Jesus More Famous”.

That’s some kind of liberal writing, IMHO.

Rush acknowledged his relationship with Christ as well, and for the longest he sounded at the most a deist.

From President Trump’s speech at the rally (I think it was either NC or SC):

““But you know something else? We still need help from the Boss! We need help from the Boss – that’s what I think – we need help….They’ll criticise me for saying it: ‘How dare he say that!’ Nah, I’ll say it…I’ll say it! Someone said to me the other day ‘You’re the most famous person in the world by far’. I said ‘No I’m not, no I’m not!’ and they said, ‘Who’s more famous?’ I said, ‘Jesus Christ!’ (…applause…) I’m not taking any chances…Hey, I’m NOT having any argument – Jesus Christ…I guarantee…””

PING!!!

Trump has been the most PRO GOD, PRO LIFE, and PRO church, President we have ever had.

He may use some language that makes you wince once in a while, BUT it is more about what he DOES than about how he says things.

I sense he had an awakening in his life towards Eternal things and that is exemplified by his ULTRA Pro-Life stance.

The “baggage” of his previous life is what pops up every once in a while.

Who’s more famous?’ I said, ‘Jesus Christ!’

The way he worded makes me think of another infamous quotation, then I imagined Casey Kasem in his AT40 voice:

(Choral voices:)Number 2!

And now moving up within the Top 10, bumping off the Beatles, is Donald Trump, with his follow-up hit smash "Keep America Great"!

That leaves us with #1, all time most famous for nearly 100,000 weeks, "Our Lord" Himself!

That wraps it up for this week. Join us next time on this station for another exciting countdown. Until then, keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars!

Yeah he’s one of the few men who ever appeared on the cover of Playboy magazine and it was a jokey kind of appearance promoting his interview in the magazine.

PT and Rush acknowledging Jesus Christ was so moving. To God be the glory!

The “baggage” of his previous life is what pops up every once in a while. The Bible refers to it as the "old man" the flesh and bones man, the worldly man. Constantly at war with the new man, created in Jesus Christ.

There are six things which the Lord hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood... A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil,... A false witness who utters lies, And one who spreads strife among brothers.

I hope Trump wins. But he gives no Glory to Jesus Christ. He says these words like a witch says a incantation. Say the magic words and who knows it might help me win.

Was Jesus a counter puncher? No. Has Trump ever once turned the other cheek?

What we have here is a case of someone using Jesus’ name in vain.

But for me, the general election is for choosing between Republicans and Democrats. So my prayer is that God will let this egotistical jackass (who does love America) to win.

Refreshing to hear the Name used as something other than a profanity.

Agreed. King David had the same issue, and overcame / prevailed with God’s help. Pres. Trump reminds me of David.

That’s great!

And it’s the main reason liberals, the media, etc., hate him so much.

I think Rush Limbaugh is of a Lutheran background - I don’t know what church affiliation he might have now. Someone from that background might be reluctant to talk much about their feelings or spiritual experiences - these things, while not rejected, aren’t emphasized a lot because they are seen as prone to error. The culture and even language tends to be more reserved than what some may be used to. I like that Rush does not imprint his politics with a particular flavor of Christianity.

I think you just committed the false witness and spread strife. The Lord hates that.

I don’t despise him like you seem to, but I do think much as you do with this. I never had any impression Trump cares much about God, so it always seems artificial. Of course, I have to work on that, too.

Jesus was very confrontational. He came back at His critics with very harsh words. Even from the beginning of His ministry. You need to read John 8:39-47.

Ah, bhive -

Luke 22:36.

“But now,” He said, “take your money and a traveler’s bag. And if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one!”

Jesus *knew* the path He was destined to take. He *knew* that He would be the Sacrificial Lamb and would be untouched by harm until the time He was destined to die.

Jesus also *knew* what His disciples would face.

It does no Christian any good to pick and choose what they wish to present as an instruction...

Though the Bible is at times hard for me to accept, as I am a sinful human, it does me no good to pick and choose from the Word.

As Christians we must always take the full walk of knowledge/instruction by Jesus.
