Actress Francia Raisa posted a hysterical video from her car on Sunday after allegedly getting “boxed in” by a pro-Trump car parade, seemingly accusing supporters of targeting her because she’s of Mexican descent and then “laughing” at her, apparently from inside their vehicles.
“I was just on the 405 and I got stuck in that stupid Trump rally and they f***ing boxed me in and they’re pointing at me and laughing at me, saying, ‘haha,” the actress said in hysterics. “And literally, I almost crashed because they wouldn’t let me out. I was trying to go around it, and they were all stopping and going.”
Friend and fellow actress Amber Riley defended Raisa in her own social media video.
“Francia FaceTimed me freaking the f*** out today ’cause she was on the 405 and the little Trump rally on the 405 decided to box her in her car,” she claimed. “A woman driving by herself.”
“But they saw a Mexican in a car and decided to f*** with her,” she accused. “I was on the phone; I saw this myself.”
Raisa has been very vocal this election season to push out the vote, teaming up with former First Lady Michelle Obama.
“It was such an honor to join in on a conversation with our forever FLOTUS @michelleobama and @whenweallvote on the importance of not just voting, but making sure we are all registered to vote,” she wrote in a post, last month. “My biggest take away from the conversation yesterday is ‘when you vote, you are taking the next step of the progress you are trying to make. You are ensuring that your leaders will reflect the values that you’re out there fighting for every day.'”
“Make sure you are registered to vote and take the proper measures to make sure your vote is counted!” she added. “Sign up for a mail-in ballot or vote early, if your state offers that option. We have the power to create change this November. #Vote.”

As an Easterner over the years I’ve noticed that whenever “The 405” is mentioned a joke is sure to follow.

I know that to be true, as when I was much, much younger (I’m retired in FL) I moved from the suburbs into the City of Chicago, IL and rented an apartment in a really neat art glass windowed small brick building on the southwest side of the City. My landlords were Mexican. Phyllis was as white as the driven snow, with blond hair. Her husband David was much darker, appeared to have some native Mexican Indian in him, and was a great guy.
David worshipped his wife Phyllis as she was a light Mexican woman, and believe me, in Mexico they have their own caste system where the lighter the skin, the higher up in the caste rankings you are. You could tell by Phyllis and David’s interactions that Phyllis knew this and would (nicely) lord it over David who would jump when she said jump.
I really liked both of them, but the dynamics of their relationship were interesting to observe. David thought he had a great catch in Phyllis, and Phyllis knew that David would do anything she would say or give her anything she wanted.
“Literally” it’s the 405. Everybody is boxed in or so I’m told.
She looks Puerto Rican.
No.
She looks Honduran.
No.
She looks Brazilian.
Mexican? No. She doesn’t look Mexican.

My best friend and I many years ago when we were living on the near southwest side of the City of Chicago in IL, decided to drive down to a Mexican restaurant to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in the old Pilsen area of the City. Pilsen (think Czech Pilsen beer) used to be populated by Bohemians, the part of the City where they settled in the early days at the turn of the century.
As time went on, the neighborhood went Hispanic, primarily Mexican in nature. A great neighborhood back then with great Mexican restaurants throughout the area. The main drag through Pilsen was a very busy street, lined with stores and restaurants, a big arch over the main part of the street in the shopping/eating area and in the center of the beehive of activity.
We rounded a corner onto the main drag and lo and behold we were right in the middle of a Cinco de Mayo Day parade celebration. Lots of cars built up on those big wheels, boouncing up and down with Mexican music blaring out of them; floats, dancers, bands, and ... us.
My friend and I were both dark haired (neither of us Latino, we were of northern European heritage) but we could pass as Latino, I would guess. Well, there we were, parading down the street, trapped in the middle of a parade. We were laughing ourselves silly at the situation, so we just rolled down the windows, waived and cheered as we drove the route, and had a grand old time.
Finally we were able to get off the main drag, and never did get to the Mexican restaurant (too many people lining the street to find any kind of parking spot). But who cared by that time, we had a ball and an unforgettable memory to take home with us.

It's a shame she didn't capture all of the action that she claimed to have happened on her phone to give her story some veracity.
She should try walking through a BLM riot with a Trump hat and see what they think of her ethnicity.

She is in California. Lots of legal Mexicans are joining up in Trump parades. I went to a Trump car parade a while back that had all races in it and a good number of Mexican flags.
I saw one of these miles long Trump car parades in Orlando on Sunday. Lots of “Latinos for Trump” signs on the cars, too. Total BS that she was targeted.

There’s something wrong with someone who sees other people laugh and the first thing they think is that everyone is laughing at them, if there is the slight possibility she really thinks this happened.
OTOH, I actually see this as a fake hate crime. She’s an opportunist who is deliberately misinterpreting and misrepresenting the situation.
