We all remember when Southwest Airlines pulled a Texas family off a flight when the youngest member, a three-year-old with autism, refused to wear a mask on a flight within the state.
Well, they did it again!
Video shows another passenger with a ‘Black Voices For Trump‘ cap being asked to get off the aircraft for allegedly having his required COVID-19 face mask temporarily down.
Never mind that the man in the video was eating peanuts at the time his mask was down, or the fact that he was wearing a ‘Black Voices for Trump’ cap and a Trump face mask. The latter half of the information above appears to be the suspected reason for asking the man to leave the flight.
The person filming the incident before the flight had taken off asked the flight attendant repeatedly what the airline regulations were for eating on a flight. She specifically asked if there was a rule against pulling the mask down to eat. The flight attendant didn’t appear to want to answer the passengers’ questions in the video.
Some people in the video speculated it wasn’t about the food but about the passengers’ open support for President Trump that led to the incident.

Why the gentleman was forced off the flight when almost everyone flying during these COVID-19 restrictions can lower their masks to eat.
No, peanuts aren’t served. people are allowed to eat but then must have to put the mask back on. You cannot spend an unreasonable amount of time eating.
Watch it again. It’s not the ground operations that said “it’s the hat.”

Looks like a future millionaire was booted off the plane while being black and for Trump. Maybe when these idiots have to pay millions in lawsuits and are forced to fire those who behave like the attendant who kicked off the Trump supporter; things will change. I wouldn’t mind having a few million in my bank account from a wrong-headed airline.

This looked like it was just a couple of minutes, not an unreasonable amount of time. Is he supposed to do the Gavin Newsome rule of putting the mask back on between bites?

You listen to the instructions of the flight crew. If you don’t, you get booted. People are being banned for life now on other airlines.
You don’t disobey instructions and expect to be catered to. Do we not say (as conservatives) to obey police and fight it later?

Reminds me of that Asian doctor that was dragged off of a flight b/c he was “chosen” to disembark as the plane was overfull.
Airline settled within days to put it behind them, apparently for a lot of money.

Exactly. The passenger taping this understood it was not about lowering the Trump mask to eat peanuts. It was the mask and hat that was disruptive!
I was just on a cross-country flight and it was miserable - I flew coach and we were packed in like sardines.
Meal service was a zip-lock back handed to us when we boarded - two cookies, a small bottle of water and a hand sanitizing wipe. Nothing more for over 5 hours.
I think seats have been replaced to jam in more, they appeared to be smaller - 1st class looked like what coach used to look like - I think the coach seats were put up there.
Miserable flight because of the small seats and seat area - no room to store anything.
But hey, if you need to visit family on the other side of the country, what other way is there to go? (not by car or train, husband is disabled and cannot tolerate long journeys).
Haven’t been peanuts on Southwest in years. Only pretzels.

Be reasonable people. Even though this guy is on our side, he probably is used to getting attention because of he being a black man and Trump supporter.
He was probably looking for a reaction and he got it.
In this case, I cannot support somebody failing to follow directions from the flight crew.
I was on SWA the other day and this FA came by giving me the mask on hand jesture; this as I was trying to drink the water he gave me!!
The other FA came by and I held up my water and gave her the WTF look.
She leaned over and said “ don’t worry about it. The gay FA is freaking out”
You’re right. When I watched it on my phone the voice sounded the same but not on the laptop.

THE ENTIRE VIDEO WAS ONLY TWO MINUTES AND SIXTEEN SECONDS LONG...
...and the majority of that time was spent in conversation with the employee. There was no video of what transpired prior to this video. How did you discern the passenger spent an unreasonable amount of time eating? On addition, he was very calm AND NOT DISRUPTIVE AT ALL! (Yes I’m yelling.)
In top of that, the woman in the row behind the woman videoing the situation said the man was eating AND then put his mask back on.

It does not sound to me as if you watched the video. They guy sitting there is quite calm. It's the prissy flight attendant who is being disruptive, and the lady who is asking the flight attendant to explain the mask policy. The FA ducks her question by saying something like "I wasn't here when the policy was explained". The black Trump supporter was sitting calmly. Seriously, if SW Airlines wants to make it illegal to eat on a flight, they need to say so.
