Exactly what I thought. Zero evidence of any racist comment. Again, for the people in the back—moonvova is a moron who acts like a libtard and accuses others of “racism” with zero evidence. You can’t win an argument so you resort to calling someone a racist.

Go spill your garbage on Twitter with the rest of the vermin.

Moron.

I think you’re a bit crazy. Which part of failing to listen to instructions from a flight crew do you not comprehend? If you don’t obey any policy, you get booted.

I fly SW airlines pretty exclusively. I have NEVER heard an announcement made before the flight takes off claiming that if you don't listen to preflight instructions you'll be taken off the plane. If such an offense was so consequential, those consequences would be related to the passengers before the instructions are conveyed. The fact they chose to remove the Trump supporter, who was probably just minding his own business, is instructive. Your pathetic attempt to defend this is also instructive.

Most people on the plane before takeoff are looking at their phones, wearing headphones, reading, even sleeping while the instructions are given, especially those who fly frequently, and none have even been removed from the plane.

The instructions they give about masks is that they require you to wear the mask at all times unless you are eating, period! There's no limit on the time it takes to eat something or when you decide to eat. And you seem to suggest that one cannot eat and listen at the same time. I guess you've never eaten popcorn in a movie theater, or if you did you probably missed a good portion of the movie you paid to see.

If you think someone should be taken off the plane because of possible disruption, then how about removing a raving lunatic that can't function if they see someone wearing pro-Trump apparel?

We do acknowledge there may be times when a Customer needs to briefly remove their face covering, for instance, to eat, drink, or take medicine. However, we expect these instances to be very brief, and Customers should put their face covering back on as soon as possible.
-Southwest.com

You weren’t aware that failure to follow instructions from the flight crew had consequences?

You’re assuming that he was targeted because he was a Trump supporter. There were other Trump supporters who were not removed. Wonder why?

And yes, if you fail to follow instructions on the ground, you should be removed for the safety of all others. Trump supporter, Biden supporter or anyone else.

You slaves got to be taught to obey your masters. Wear that face diaper at all time. The World will go up in smoke if you don’t.

The word “instructions” in this instance is used to convey a directive more or less. I didn’t mean instructions as in watching or listening to seatbelt announcements.

At least you didn’t accuse me of racism and so we can have a conversation like two adults.

I’m not arguing the merits of facemasks. I HATE them, truth be told...

I’m making the case that you will be pulled from the plane for not following “directives” from the flight crew.

I would guarantee that he was told a few times before being pulled.

Trump supporter or not, you have to listen to what you are being told while on the aircraft. You don’t want the FBI and police to meet you after landing.

Believe it or not, I agree with you. When the Police or FBI are there to greet you, you usually end up in the pokey in a heap of trouble too. That is why my ass no longer fits an airline seat. I stay off and out of airplanes.

That's not the announcement they make on the plane. That sounds like a PR statement made after the fact. And where is the warning that you will be escorted from the plane if you're eating episode is not what THEY deem as "very brief"? What is the exact definition of "very brief"? Are they watching every passenger every minute with a stopwatch to see how long they have their mask off?

If you cannot understand the utter silliness of these kinds of impositions I can't help you.

I too have to wear a mask at my place of employment or risk my livelihood, but I would never use that as an acceptable reason to condone draconian "virtue signalling" rules by wanna-be tyrants of any stripe

I would guarantee that he was told a few times before being pulled.

How would you "guarantee" that? Were you there?

What if this happened while in-flight? Do you think they would have turned the plane around and taken this guy off the plane? Would you defend that as well?

I'm sorry but I've had it with these giant corps moaning they need federal hand outs because they're losing money while simultaneously offending the majority of their paying customers with their stupid COVID rules.

Those that are so fearful of the China flu are not going to be flying anyway, and the ones that are trying to go on with their lives are being subject to this lunacy. Just put a friggin' sign on the door of the plane that states "we have no control over the China Virus and you fly on our airline at your own risk". Heck, I'll sign a waiver that exempts the airline from any legal responsibility. We need to move on.

Anyone defending this nonsense contributes to the problem.

I understand that “very brief” is subjective and means different things to different people.

I would bet that he was told a couple times or more to cover up.

Could the flight attendants meaning of “very brief” be different for someone wearing Trump attire? It’s possible.

Regardless, it doesn’t change the fact that you have to listen to directives.

I’m an insider and I get the juicy details. He was told multiple times by different people.

They would not divert due to the refusal to wear a mask. There would be a party awaiting his arrival though.

There are thousands of us conservatives and Trump supporters there: trust me.
Southwest is very generous with it’s employees and customers. They do SO much for charity. You’d be amazed at what they do.

They are losing millions a day through no fault of their own. They were never reckless in spending or wasting money; that is why they are in a better position than any other airline.

People vowing to never use them again hurts conservatives like me as well.
A resounding percentage of the pilots are former military. I work with former police and even a former Seal.

We are all sick of the COVID-19 crap.
We have to wear masks for 8 hours a day. Nobody likes it but it’s the current reality that we face.

I understand that “very brief” is subjective and means different things to different people.

Do you also agree that you can't use a subjective assessment to eject someone from a flight that they paid for without giving fair warning beforehand that not adhering to that subjective definition is cause for ejection?

I would bet that he was told a couple times or more to cover up.

There you go, speculating again. You are digging a hole for yourself. Just stop.

Could the flight attendants meaning of “very brief” be different for someone wearing Trump attire? It’s possible.

Regardless, it doesn’t change the fact that you have to listen to directives.

I believe you mean "obey" directives, right? Since there's no way you can prove he didn't "listen" to the directives.

Look, the fact is, unless they state emphatically that if you fail to follow our "directives" you will be removed from the flight, they cannot willy-nilly make subjective judgments about who can stay on the plane, no matter who they support. The fact that they don't say it outright means they know it would be a PR nightmare and NOBODY would fly with them. By not stating it outright, it lets them get away with those subjective decisions. IMHO, it's bad business all the way around.
