Six months ago Dr. Robert Redfield told the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee that healthy people should not wear face masks.

Dr. Redfield even tweeted about it.

But like so much else coming from the completely ridiculous US medical elites they changed their mind a few weeks later.

A few weeks ago, Dr. Robert Redfield told the Senate Appropriations Committee that masks offer better protection from the COVID-19 China virus than a vaccine.

They changed their mind on that now too.

Wearing a mask has never been about protection. Wearing a mask is about virtue signalling, ie, “I wear a mask because I care about you. If you don’t wear a mask then it says that you don’t care about me (or Grandma).”

Mask mandates also provide politicians a chance to say the same thing.

The biggest issue is people/politicians want to think they’re doing something even if they’re not. Mask provide a perfect and visible opportunity to feed this thought.
