It was a major fraudulent IPO and stock pump— and the first in were the first out, ripping off millions.) Answer: Satellite connections beat them to the “coverage”.
2.) Any here recall the idiot “inventor of the internet” AL Gore..., who pushed through his silly agenda of “wiring all our schools for the internet”... and guess what- they didn’t need to be, nor to be funded for it— Satellites...again had the answer (just like Nikola Tesla had superior answers).
BUT... and it is a huge BUT!— the FEDERAL tax for “school internet wiring” “infrastructure” is still added to EVERY ISP bill and cell/wireless monthly bills. Where does that money go NOW? Some federal slush fund. Note how long it took to get rid of the telephone tax that funded the Spanish American War.
Al Gore’s other un-original idea was to have a different tax scheme for off road diesel fuel...his EPA buddies copied wartime UK and require red dye be identifying the lowere taxed “off road” fuel. Any one caught with red diesel used ON ROAD... face fines. In WWII UK there was a black market in “filtered clear” former military red dyed gasoline. Another demonstration of pointless bureaucracy of socialists. They filtered stolen military red petrol through bread, and sold it now clear to the public.
