Again?
This article should come as no surprise to anybody who has friends or relatives and acquaintances. We’ve lost a couple family members and friends to suicide over the past few years. On the outside, the facade they placed made it seem like all was well - but you could tell something was not quite right.
I think about what happened to the late EDM artist Avici - the guy clearly had mental issues. He even would agonize about his work schedule and mental health on interviews for years, and I’m thinking while listening to them - GET HELP DUDE! Quite your gig and get help, who cares what your ‘handlers’ say.
There are a lot of people out there suffering right now. Use your resources if you are suffering from these types of thoughts.

I’m OK if God decided to reboot the planet. We’re either going to get a President Biden or massive destruction in the country. The former could also lead to the latter.
It’s heartbreaking, but not unexpected.
Wonder how many who consider taking that final step aren’t trying to “escape” per se, but instead (in their own minds, anyhow) duplicating the actions of the inhabitants of Masada in A.D. 73?
There is too much **** happening at once.
Not just the “bad news”
the total shutdown of social activity and virtually all recreation events.
The isolation and the internet.
Suicide rates, alcoholism, drug abuse, overdose, and domestic violence are all up.

50+ years of expanding liberalism. Liberals have said and done nothing in my lifetime be dispense negativity. They have maliciously wrecked lives to then feed on them.
They have passed numerous laws to prevent disturbed people from getting help (think homosexuality and transgenderism as examples). They have appointed huge numbers of judges to stop legal attempts to help people with mental/emotional problems. This nightmare has been in the making for a long time.

Whatever is happening now, believers can keep our eyes on the Lord and the promise of heaven.
Trump said this would happen, and yet Fauci is out there say idiotic stuff like, “We will never get back to normal” and “We should never shake hands again.”
Stuff like that is super dangerous. And then we have Woodward and Democrats bellyaching about Trump downplaying COVID.
I would be interested in sourced statistics about the number of attempted or actual suicides this year vs prior years. Does anyone have actual data?

IF there is an increase, it’s because of mental illness.
Not too surprising, when people have no recognition of their hope for heaven and their present situation seems extremely dire, they have would see the world as a burden more than a time to embrace faith.

I think too many people are weak-minded, snowflakes. They are totally dependant on socialization with other people and can’t handle being alone with their own thoughts. They probably also do not have a close relationship with their God.
If they’re liberals... well, I won’t make any remarks about providing pills and razor blades, because it might seem “insensitive.” I’ll just say it’s their choice.

These are beliefs, not facts. You can’t inform anyone of belief. In itself, it is not an argument, and may actually shut down all discussion.
Very sad. Suicide is the worst miskake a person can make and the only mistake where correction is impossible.
Such a tragedy. And people like Dr. Faustus don’t care in the least. If he isn’t an anti-Trumper, then he has blinders on that blind him to anything hurting and killing people but Covid 19. What an idiot.
Trump said it 6 months ago, “we can’t let the cure be worse than the disease”. The lockdowns are much worse than just taking the hit on Covid 19 and dealing with it as a health issue. Look how fast Trump ramped up respirators/additional ICU beds. They have all gone unused.
But then I have known or government rulers are our enemies for a long time now. (Not Trump, but almost all of the rest of them are).
In our prayer group, one of our members asked for prayers for her niece’s husband because he had lost four friends to suicide this year. That’s really jarring.
It was predicted that at the end times the living will envy the dead.
