As Portland enters its 100th night of protest, there are several demonstrations happening across the city.
Protests began 100 days ago following the death of George Floyd, a Black man in Minnesota who died after a police officer knelt on his neck for nearly 8 minutes.
The protests have been concentrated largely around different areas in downtown from the Federal Courthouse to the Police Association Building. On Saturday, the protesters marched to the Portland Police Bureau’s East Precinct.
The police blocked hundreds of demonstrators from marching to a Southeast Portland police precinct Saturday night, then quickly declared the gathering a riot after people threw at least three incendiary devices toward officers.
Police used tear gas for the first time in September and arrested several people. The clashes played out for hours in the neighborhoods surrounding Ventura Park, where people initially gathered to protest police violence and anti-Black racism.
One of the far-left militants threw a Molotov cocktail in an attempt to hit police… but lit his fellow rioter on fire instead. Ironically, police officers had to step in to help them put it out.

That’s pretty much how the Weathermen finally met their end in NYC in the early ’70s. Their bomb makers blew themselves up.

100 days of this crap is enough. Time to start kicking ass, taking names, and putting “peaceful protestors” in jail.

Molotov cocktail is a deadly weapon. Police should respond in kind with real..not rubber...bullets.
This seems like more than a gasoline bomb.
Molotov Coctails are usually not so difficult to extinguish.
This incident is a two for one win.
1. One sauted rioter
2. Multiple charges including attempted murder by the person that threw the Molotov cocktail
Molotov cocktails mayor Wheeless? Those things were used in WWII and you are still pretending it is a peaceful riot?
This is good. What should happen is that the police MUST be released from their shackles and allowed to do the right thing: shoot anyone throwing a firebomb. No hesitation. Do it before the bomb leaves the terrorist’s hands.
Good video. Should be played over and over again. The mayor and governor are responsible for this action because they chose not to stop the rioting terrorists.
No time to wallow in the mire.
At least that is what I think Morrison says next.
