Food banks are where people donate food they haven’t been using, and which is approaching expiration.
If hard times hit, people will be using their food, or giving it to family or friends, rather than to strangers at a food bank.

Hell, here in the Big Valley, food is cheap and plentiful. Even the exotic organic stuff.

Have been stocking up little by little and freezing the garden vegetables I grew. But it’s an annual event anyways here in Upstate. My parents taught me and my whole family does it.
I am thinking about buying a mountain of Twinkies. They should last a long time.
I ordered a chest freezer the end of March; they’re still out of stock. Now I’m looking at getting it maybe around Thanksgiving...

Judging the future of food by how many people are standing in line for free food?
It would be better to judge it by people whose livelihood depends on producing large amounts of food.
Begin with farmers, who, by the way are having record breaking year.
