Food banks are where people donate food they haven’t been using, and which is approaching expiration.

If hard times hit, people will be using their food, or giving it to family or friends, rather than to strangers at a food bank.

“In a “worst-case scenario”, the UN projects that “about a tenth of the world’s population won’t have enough to eat this year”…

That includes exactly zero persons in the US.

Hell, here in the Big Valley, food is cheap and plentiful. Even the exotic organic stuff.

If you’re worried put up a couple of cases of Spam and 20lbs of beans.

Have been stocking up little by little and freezing the garden vegetables I grew. But it’s an annual event anyways here in Upstate. My parents taught me and my whole family does it.

I am thinking about buying a mountain of Twinkies. They should last a long time.

I ordered a chest freezer the end of March; they’re still out of stock. Now I’m looking at getting it maybe around Thanksgiving...

I've been buying Kerrygold cheese from Ireland for years but suddenly it is almost $7 in the stores. For 7 ounces!

Guess I'm going to switch to Wisconsin cheese now.

That’s who I ordered from!! They told me a week or so ago they’re getting things back in, so maybe sooner than I think.

I guess I’ll have to wait my turn (have to have it delivered....).

"Earlier today my wife stopped by the grocery store to pick up a couple of things, and one particular item that used to cost about 12 dollars was now 20 dollars instead.

Well, what was it that cost $20? Was it bacon? Can I buy a vowel?

Sorry but I have a tough time feeling for someone in a Lexus in a food giveaway line.

To me that says, *greed* more than *need*.

Not going to worry but if that day comes. I have guns and will use them on my liberal neighbors. Get back those years of taxes paid for shitty causes.

Judging the future of food by how many people are standing in line for free food?

It would be better to judge it by people whose livelihood depends on producing large amounts of food.

Begin with farmers, who, by the way are having record breaking year.
