So do I - just make sure you’ve got written on paper how much to dilute it for use in sanitizing.

Chlorine bleach has a effective life even in sealed gallon jugs of just over a year. The chemical itself is unstable it disintegrates to salt and water over time. For long term chlorine you need powdered chlorine they same type used for clorine tablets in pools.
I’m the 3rd generation removed direct blood descendent of the last cannibals on the American continent the liver eating band of the Comanche tribe. My great grandmother was a survivor raised by whites after her band was wiped out. After a black swan event there will be plenty of long pork for a while for those willing to eat it. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t curious how it tastes.
Interesting.
Wonder if you are related to the late David Yeagley?
I’m willing to bet most people would rather starve than eat long pork. Heard the taste and smell is awful. YMMV.
COVID caused major supply chain issues. Half the food production was geared towards restaurants and such. They lost entire crops of livestock because production issues.
That’s why it’s prudent to keep a few half-gallon jugs and cycle them through the cleaning activities so they never get old.
...technically, an excellent long-term food storage system.
Think about it: it's transportable, it won't perish, it can't be stolen, and it doesnt require refrigeration. All you really need it water.
I'm not recommending that we all chow down to the detriment of our health. But I am suggesting that, if you're really worried about TEOTWAWKI, packing on an extra 20-30lbs ahead of time may be prudent.
Chlorine bleach will lose most of its sanitizing potency within 6 months. And rapidly degrade in the ensuing months. So after a year your bleach is down to 20% potency.Store the chemicals (Calcium hypochlorite) to make your concentrated chlorine solution. A small amount of solution is mixed with an amount of water to then mix with a larger amount of water which equates to household bleach. But now this homemade bleach has the same shelf life as store bought bleach. The efficiency of making the chlorine solution is that you can just make small amounts for a few weeks/months usage.
1 pound bag of good product (then made into the aforementioned chlorine solution--then mixed with water=bleach) is enough to treat over 10,000 gallons of water.
Do a search...numerous articles on the mixing amounts, ratios, safeguards etc.
When it come to that be sure and take the advice of the gators down by the levee , Before you eat'm be sure and shake the shit out of them first or they'll leave a bad taste in your mouth
Are Democrats Kosher?
